Fisk

With this being the final season for Fisk gymnastics, this has to be a big year to: one, hopefully make a change for the future if at all still possible, and two, if it’s not, make it the best last season possible for the athletes involved.

2025 Rewind

No. 65 overall | No. 65 in regular season

Without the pressure of a conference championship as an independent competitor, Fiskโ€™s growth really showed in the last month of the season when the team hit its highest score of the season of 194.600 in late February, but was mainly around the 192-193 threshold for the remainder of the year.

The Big Picture

This will definitely be a year of figuring out new roles and calling on underclassmen to step into places they may not have had to yet, especially on bars where the team returns only three routines. The team does have some very strong returners in Rosby, Reed-Hammon, and Mora to provide experience in these lineups. However, with the knowledge that this is the last season for the program, the athletes have the opportunity to use this as a year to get their bearings in a place they feel comfortable and to make a case for themselves if they decide to transfer to a new program after this year.

Likely 2026 finish: Nationally in the 60s

Greenville

Greenville is entering its fourth year coming off its best season thus far, and the trend looks to continue into 2026. With only one graduated senior and one transfer but six newcomers, the team is growing and shows more potential with each year that goes by.

2025 Rewind

No. 78 overall | No. 78 in regular season | WCGNIC semifinals

Greenville had its best season so far in 2025, scoring just short of a 191 with a 190.925 in February. The team showed strength on floor, especially last season, getting as high as a 48.675, but struggling throughout the year on bars, going below a 44 event total twice. Although it did qualify as a team to the WCGNIC semifinals, it fell short by a little over three points. Nonetheless, last season was one Greenville can be proud of and use as a building block for what’s to come.

Team: 191.175 | AA: 38.450 (Amara Nelson) | VT: 48.125/9.750 (Rachel Miller) | UB: 47.500/9.812 (Ashlie Leage) | BB: 48.200/9.850 (Amara Nelson) | FX: 48.675/9.900 (Ellery Gilmer)

With the newness of this program, these records are most likely going to be continually shifting as the team gains experience and brings in new talent with each year as an established program. Only the all-around record and the individual vault record were not broken last season, but Nelson, who currently holds the all-around record as rising senior has the potential to break her own record after a stellar season in 2025.

The Big Picture

It is always hard to tell how newer programs will perform year to year. However, based on how quickly Greenville has grown and how it has climbed in the rankings over just the last three years, itโ€™s safe to say this year will be better than the last. Although the loss of Miller and Leage will hurt its lineups, there are athletes gaining confidence with each year, like Nelson, Russo, and Miller, to name a few. These returners will continue to be staples in Greenvilleโ€™s lineups and provide confidence to the newcomers stepping into opening lineup spots.

Likely 2026 finish: Nationally in the 70s

Wilberforce

Wilberforce enters its second season with a small roster of 16 but significant potential to build on the foundation laid in its inaugural year.

2025 Rewind

No. 86 overall | No. 86 in regular season

As a first-year program in 2025, Wilberforce experienced the expected ups and downs. The team scored a season-high 180.275 in its opening meet, dropped as low as 141 due to an unexpected lack of lineup options, then gained consistency in the 170s, finishing the year with a solid 178.125 in March.

These records are likely to change often, but the scores to beat are impressive nevertheless. With the talent joining the roster, the team has the potential to surpass the 180.275 high from 2025, though only time will tell for such a new program.

The Big Picture

Losing all-arounder Peart-Williams will be a challenge, as she led the Bulldogs in scoring across every event last season. The biggest hurdle will be fielding full lineups, though; last season, several events featured fewer than five athletes, contributing to lower totals and rankings. This season, stability from returning upperclassmen combined with contributions from newcomers will be key. Freshmen Kelly and Goldburne stand out as potential immediate contributors across all four events. Entering only their second season, the Bulldogs already have a lot to be proud of as the program grows more cohesive week to week.
