UW-Oshkosh
UW-Oshkosh had a pretty consistent year, but with not the end result it wanted in the postseason after winning the regular season title, the Titans need to show how strong they are entering this 2026 year. If the team can achieve this, it could reclaim that title and possibly the NCGA national title, something it was capable of doing last season.

No. 60 overall | No. 1 at NCGA West | No. 60 in regular season | NCGA nationals
Ending ranked first in the NCGA West and third at the NCGA championship is something this Oshkosh team should be proud of. While it wouldโve loved to finish first in the championship after a great regular season finish, it still had a good showing, although bars was the event that took its total down, an event that hadnโt been an issue for the team in meets prior.

Last season, the team broke the record on beam, one of its best events of 2025. With the loss of two key players from this lineup in Cienkus and Romano, it will be interesting to see how the team makes up these two scores on an event they made a statement on in 2025.
The Big Picture
This returning team alone is a pretty large group, and with the addition of seven newcomers, this should give Oshkosh the depth it needs to have a more successful 2026 year. Two freshmen, Gallegos and Hughes, could step into all-around roles based on the way each competed in club, and could have a prominent role in each of these lineups. Although the Titans are returning over 15 athletes from the previous roster, there is not that much listed depth from the previous season; that being said, in order for the team to get back on top in the regular season and hopefully postseason, it needs to have strong athletes ready to step into several open spots and contribute when the pressure is on.
Likely 2026 finish: Second in the WIAC
UW-Whitewater
With eight athletes leaving the program by either graduation, transfer, or retirement, and with a group of eight incoming, technically, the numbers are replaced. Still, the experience of athletes leaving the program will be an obstacle that the team will have to navigate this season.

UW-Whitewater finished as the runner-up to UW-La Crosse at the NCGA national championships, posting its best team total of the season in the process. Whitewater came close to breaking its overall record last season, and with the addition of several newcomers who could contribute on multiple eventsโor even in all-around rolesโthat milestone could be within reach in 2026. Two freshmen in particular, Friend and Haynes, stood out in their club careers and have the potential to make an immediate impact across the lineups for the Warhawks.
The Big Picture
Whitewater finished second at its championship meet in 2025 but will need to find both depth and consistency this season after losing several key athletes. A few newcomers could step into lineup spots across all four events, but bars poses the biggest challenge with the departure of four lineup staples. If the Warhawks can rebuild that event and capitalize on the depth theyโve developed elsewhere, 2026 should be another strong seasonโand one where they reach their scoring potential earlier in the year.
Likely 2026 finish: Third in the WIAC
UW-La Crosse
The NCGA national champions are coming into the 2026 season with seven newcomers who would love to be a part of another national title. Although it proved it could hit when the time came, UW-La Crosse did not have the best, most high-scoring season preceding this competition, but it absolutely had the means to do so. Ending on this high, the team should have the confidence it needs to not only have a great end to another season, but start strong and build momentum up to this point.

This team record is set from last season, and it would be such a huge accomplishment to come out early on and break this new record that came in just shy of a 195 to show that performance at nationals was who this team is.
The Big Picture
The Eagles have a good amount of depth coming into this season, but finding the right six athletes to put up week after week, who can be confident and deliver in these spots, is really what the Eagles need to focus on. The lineups last season were shifting, and while La Crosse finally did put it together at nationals, having this figured out earlier on, easier said than done, is always the goal. The Eagles are returning Robbins, one of the top scorers on her three events, as well as seven freshmen to slot into some of these spots left open by graduated seniors. There are several strong potential two to three event specialists coming in, Zoucha and Hawkins, who have the chance to contribute in a big way to a team looking to go back-to-back as national champions.
Likely 2026 finish: First in the WIAC
UW-Stout
UW-Stout is only bringing back eight athletes from the 2025 season, so this may be a rebuilding year for the Blue Devils. Each of its six graduating seniors consistently competed in at least one lineup, but itโs not just the routines Stout will be missingโitโs the veteran leadership. Joining the small group of returning athletes are a bunch of newcomers, who might find themselves making more competitive appearances than they expected.
2025 Rewind
No. 75 overall | No. 5 at NCGA West | No. 75 in regular season
Though Stout had athletes qualify to nationals, it failed to send a complete team to the competition. One of its highest scores came in early March, when the team put up a 191.250, a glimpse of what it was capable of. It earned the 2025 team high of 191.900 in February, a score that was a full four points higher than its first meet of the season. This massive improvement let the team show its strength overall, but it was bars where it really shone. Unfortunately, it didnโt get to show what it could do on the biggest stage of the year.

It’s a shame the team didnโt get to compete further into the postseason, because it really had a record-breaking year in 2025. Stout set five new records this season: the individual and team all-around, team vault and bars, and the individual bar record. It will be interesting to see if Stout can continue this momentum into the 2026 season, especially with all the new faces on its roster.
The Big Picture
This is a team with so much change in its roster that itโs hard to know how this year will pan out. With only eight returners to balance the 11 additions between the freshmen class and two additional joiners, itโs difficult to tell what this dynamic will be when the season begins. Itโs either going to be a completely fresh start or more of a build, and it will be up to the veterans to set the tone. Keep an eye on Beatty, the 2025 all-around national champion who also happens to have set the schoolโs record of 38.800. Beatty has already proven to be an asset in just one season as a Blue Devil and will be relied on to provide guidance and support to the newcomers as they step onto the competition floor for the first time. Other athletes to look out for are Schaefer, who has been a consistent staple on vault and beam, as well as freshman Williams, who could be a contributor across all four.
Likely 2026 finish: Fifth in the WIAC
Winona State
Winona State has some holes to fill following the loss of four seniors who were important contributors to the 2025 lineups. The addition of nine newcomers and a big group of returners should help the team towards a more consistent regular season, with the ultimate goal of getting to the NCGA Nationals in 2026 after missing out last year.
2025 Rewind

Although it finished fourth in the NCGA West, Winona Stateโs season ended short after it didnโt qualify a full team to NCGA National Championships, its final meet of the season. The team scored a big 191.900 at WIAC Championships, showing its potential for success. The team will hope to build on that momentum as it prepares for the 2026 season.

Vault was a strong event for Winona State last season; it reset the vault record four times, going from a program high of 48.125 set in January to 48.650 in March. Its previous record was 47.875, which it set in 2023. With the addition of Molly Amrhein and several other newcomers who have the potential to be an asset to this event, the team could set a new record here just a year later.
The Big Picture
Winona State is returning a good number of athletes that it can rely on for experience in the lineups. That being said, there are some holes to fill, which means this big incoming class could have a chance to contribute scores this season. The more consistent athletes will certainly get the edge on competition opportunities. Last year, Winona State had a low score of 185 and a high of 191.900. Itโll be looking to find a more steady cadence in 2026 if it wants to qualify for the championships as a team.
Likely 2026 finish: Fourth in the WIAC
UW-Eau Claire
UW-Eau Claire may be one of the most improved teams of last season, jumping eight points in its team total from the first competition to its last before NCGA nationals. The team needs to keep this momentum in order to qualify as a team for its championship meet and pick up right where it left off in March.
2025 Rewind
No. 79 overall | No. 6 at NCGA West | No. 79 in regular season
UW-Eau Claire showed immense growth last season in a matter of just a few months, but with a slow start in the 181s, these first couple of meets really took away its chances of qualifying to nationals. Showing that it can get these higher scores and almost cross that 190 mark as a team shows the talent and capability when all the pieces fall into place, but it needs to be done on a consistent basis, something the team struggled with last season, to really make a statement.

Three new records were set just last season, and several in the 2024 season as well. Graduated senior Toth currently holds the all-around record, and with no other consistent all-arounders last season, it will be exciting to see if a newcomer steps into this role and can get close to the mark Toth set in 2024. Several of the other records were a ways away from being broken, though, so getting to this higher scoring threshold is going to be crucial to the team’s success for a multitude of reasons on top of being able to accomplish this.
The Big Picture
Eau Claire is returning almost all of its lineup scores from the previous season, with the potential to add in some newcomers like its two international additions in Jones from Australia and Skipper from Canada. These two have the potential to be all-arounders in their debuts, along with other newcomers like Rose, who could be a big addition on bars for the team. Overall, this should be a stronger season with the loss of only two lineup scores and the depth it should have across all events with more contributors, but it’s going to come down to hitting under pressure in order to have the back half of the season it wants.

With this being such a young program, Simpson is continually setting new records, with all but the team floor total being broken in 2025. That being said, this trend will most likely continue for quite some time as the team gets higher scores it may not have had in its first three seasons.
The Big Picture
Simpson is only losing two athletes, one graduate and one retirement, but is bringing back a big team of 30 with the addition of the new freshman class. With each year, this program has gotten better, and with much more experienced veterans in its lineups, such as Tally, a top returning contributor on vault and floor, as well as Morgan on beam and floor. With a big roster comes the ability to have depth across every event, and with the return of almost all of its 2025 lineups, this team has the ability to figure out the best spots and shift athletes around to get the most out of the 2026 season.
Likely 2026 finish: Eighth in the WIAC
Gustavus Adolphus
Gustavus Adolphus enters the 2026 season after graduating a large and influential senior class. With an incoming group of 10 freshmen, the Gusties will need to rely not only on these newcomers but also on returners who have yet to make their collegiate debuts and are ready to step into key lineup roles.
2025 Rewind
No. 83 overall | No. 7 at NCGA West | No. 83 in regular season
Gustavus Adolphus showed steady progress throughout the 2025 season, improving by six points from its first meet to its final competition in March. While bars and beam proved challenging, the team found consistency on vault and floor. Although it did not qualify for NCGA nationals, the Gusties were represented by top scorer and now-graduated senior Lili Guy. Building on that late-season momentum will be key for Gustavus Adolphus to reach higher team totals and a more successful 2026 campaign.

The 2025 squad was a strong one, breaking several program recordsโincluding its team total in February. With some key pieces to replace this year, matching that mark may be a challenge, but itโs certainly within reach.
The Big Picture
Another team facing uncertainty in 2026, Gustavus Adolphus will look very different after graduating several key contributors. With 15 lineup spots to fill and just three returning NQSs, the Gusties will need to rely heavily on their depth and 11 newcomers to rebuild. The losses of Guy, Michaud, and Bangs will be tough to overcome, but if the freshmen can step up early, the team has the potential to piece together a strong season.
Likely 2026 finish: Seventh in the WIAC
Hamline
Hamline was consistently in the 182-183 range this past season, though it struggled to surpass those highs mainly due to some consistency issues, most notably on bars. With only four athletes leaving and a big class of newcomers, this shake-up could be what it needs to get back on track to higher scoring and more success in the upcoming season.
2025 Rewind
No. 85 overall | No. 9 at NCGA West | No. 85 in regular season
Hamline struggled to get past the 183 team total last season, mainly due to its issues on bars. It also lacked scoring potential on events like floor, where the team only scored above a 47 once this past season. The team not only needs bigger scores, but it would benefit greatly from full lineups, so it has the chance to drop misses.

Most of Hamlineโs records are relatively long-standing, with the exception of the individual vault record set in 2023. Although some athletes came close to breaking or tying an individual record, the team high score in 2025 was six points lower than the teamโs historical best. With so many new athletes with the potential to contribute higher scores toward the team total, this year could be a turning point for Hamline.
The Big Picture
Hamline really needs a breakout year, and 2026 may be the year. Itโs only losing four seniors while gaining eight new athletes, a turnover that might be what the team has been waiting for. Returners Cailey Price and Elena Bailey are going to be even more instrumental in lineups this season, providing the same stability they did last season. Newcomers Carly Banta and Kara Johnson could be real assets on vault and floor, while Jozlynn Jansen could contribute on bars, an event on which the team needs to increase its depth. Hopefully, this season will set the Pipers on an upward trajectory for years to come.

Love these previews.
You have UW Stout and Winona State both in 4th place for 2026.
Thank you! We viewed our predictions more as a general finishing place rather than one team for each spot. The higher-ranked teams likely won’t fit in perfectly into the four to national final, four additional to national semifinal, etc. either.
