News

Some of the biggest recent news was the confirmation from Hezly Rivera (LSU, ‘26) that she will defer her place with the Tigers for two years to make another Olympic run. She will join the team in Baton Rouge in the class of ‘28. Rivera competed at the Pan American Championships on June 17 and withdrew following her vault in the first rotation, with USA Gymnastics citing aggravation of an existing hamstring issue.

The list of currently registered gymnasts for American Classic has been released and features a number of NCAA recruits. Slated to compete are: Ally Damelio (Alabama, ‘27), Tatum Drusch (LSU, ‘27), Kieryn Finnell (Florida, ‘26), Zoey Molomo (UCLA, ‘26), and Izzy Stassi (Oklahoma, ‘26).

The Pan American Championships take place from June 17-24 with plenty of action from current and future NCAA competitors. We will report on results next week, but look out for the following NCAA committed gymnasts in competition:

  • Competing for the United States are Claire Pease (Utah, ‘27), Hezley Rivera (LSU, ‘28), and Simone Rose (Florida, ‘27).
  • Four out of five of Canada’s team are current recruits: Lia-Monica Fontaine (5-star, ‘28), Alyssa Guerrier Calixte (Georgia, ‘27), Lia Redick (LSU, ‘27), and Gabrielle Black (Utah, ‘26).
  • Karelyn Vega (Arkansas, ‘27) and Darielis Aviles (Minnesota, ‘27) have been named to the Puerto Rican team.
  • Michelle Pineda (UCLA, ‘26) will compete for Mexico.
  • Amika Every (Southern Connecticut, ‘26) competes for Aruba.
