Landi Named Georgia Associate Head Coach

Decorated elite coach Laurent Landi will join wife Cécile Canqueteau-Landi at Georgia as the program’s new associate head coach, rounding out Canqueteau-Landi’s staff alongside Brenna Brooks and Megan Haught. 

Kerr Resigns From Oklahoma; Trautman Joins Staff as Assistant

Oklahoma assistant coach Ashley Kerr will leave her position after eight years on the staff. Former Oklahoma standout Olivia Trautman will take her place after a season in the same position at Utah State.

Transfer & Eligibility Updates

Incoming Transfers
  • Ohio State sophomore Rylee Guevara is transferring to Maryland. 
  • BYU freshman Lacey Gardner is transferring to Arizona. 
  • Former Iowa State gymnast Kaia Bochow is transferring to Arkansas. Bochow was a redshirt junior in 2026.
  • Southern Connecticut sophomore Jordan Villani is transferring to LIU.
  • Temple senior Reese DeHaan is transferring to George Washington for her fifth year of eligibility. DeHaan’s sister, Delaney, is a rising senior on the team. 
Outgoing Transfers
  • Arkansas sophomore Ja’Leigh Lang is in the transfer portal. Lang was a mainstay vault contributor for the Razorbacks in 2025, but only competed four times in the 2026 season. 
  • Northern Illinois junior Mikayla Brown is in the transfer portal. She has one year of eligibility remaining.
  • Nebraska freshman Merideth Brandt is in the transfer portal. She did not compete in 2026 and has four years of eligibility remaining. 
Fifth-Year Returns
  • Minnesota senior and reigning national beam champion Brooklyn Rowray will return for a fifth year of eligibility. 

Coaching & Staff News

  • Decorated club coach Brett Wargo, currently coaching at Ascend Gymnastics in Washington, is joining Nebraska as an assistant coach. 
  • Brogan Evanson and Makenna Giles will remain on BYU head coach Natalie Broekman’s staff as associate head coach and assistant coach, respectively. 

Training Updates

New Skills Spotted
  • Rising San Jose State junior Kaviana Jurries is training a full-twisting double layout dismount on bars.
  • Rising Eastern Michigan senior Gwendelyn Cantu is training a triple series on beam. 

Rehab Progress
  • Rising Oklahoma junior Addison Fatta was seen in a right foot boot. 
  • Illinois junior Mareli Muller medically retired. She did not compete in 2026.

  • The Big Ten announced 2027 opponent rotations and Big Four assignments. For the latter meet, Maryland, Minnesota, and Illinois will compete at Michigan State; Iowa, Ohio State, and UCLA will compete at Rutgers; and Nebraska, Michigan, and Penn State will compete at Washington. 
  • Rising Michigan junior Jahzara Ranger obtained a FIG license to compete for Jamaica. Classmate Sophia Diaz is training with the Dominican Republic national team. 
  • Rising Iowa sophomore Sophie Schriever won the school’s Women’s Freshman of the Year award across all sports, and the team won Women’s Outstanding Team.
  • Rising UC Davis junior Avah Reichow, a dual-sport athlete in track and field, competed at the Big West conference championship.
  • Former LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne appeared on “The Tonight Show.”
  • A federal judge in California gave final approval to a class-action lawsuit brought by former volunteer assistant coaches against the NCAA. The class members will receive payments of at least $5,000.00 for unpaid work following the 2023 rescission of the rule prohibiting them from receiving pay or benefits.
