2017 Preseason Coaches Poll 

With the season 24 days away, the 2017 preseason coaches poll is out and the top of the standings aren’t too surprising. Reigning national champion Oklahoma sits atop the rankings at No. 1 with 47 first-place votes and 2519 total points. LSU, 2016’s runner-up is No. 2 (11 first-place votes, 2412 total points) and Alabama is No. 3 (5 first-place votes, 2336 total points). UCLA and Florida round out the top five.
