Happy Friday and happy meet day! Today we’re getting a very evenly-matched SEC dual in Fayetteville! These teams NQS’ are only separated by about a tenth of a point, and both the Tigers and the Razorbacks are fighting for a seeded spot at regionals.
Missouri is coming off of a big meet from last week! The Tigers broke into the 197 range for the first time this season, which included a huge 49.6 on floor and a perfect 10 from Jocelyn Moore on vault.
Arkansas is coming off a not-so-great performance last week. Arkansas put up its lowest score of the year at Kentucky. They got off to a hot start, but ultimately the Razorbacks had a lot of struggles on beam that led to them counting only two scores above 9.8.
If both teams are able to hit the amazing routines that we know they’re capable of, this should be a tight meet, especially with Arkansas performing in front of its home crowd!
My stream isn’t starting yet, hopefully they’re just running a little late and I’m not missing it!

Burns (Miz): Starts with a blind to a nice Jaeger shootover combination. Nice last handstand and finishes with a double layout with a tiny slide backwards. 9.875
After 1: Missouri 49.45, Arkansas 49.225
I unfortunately missed most of the first rotation, trust me I’m just as irritated as anyone reading this probably is. But it looks like Missouri had a nice bar rotation and Arkansas had a good start to the meet as well. Hopefully both teams can keep the momentum going! Luckily my stream has started and I should be good for the rest of the meet, again I’m so sorry that I missed the first rotation!
Rotation 2: Missouri VT, Arkansas UB
Lawrence (Miz): Nice Yurchenko full, takes a step back and maybe has some bent legs, but overall pretty good! 9.75
Swaney (Ark): Starts on the high bar with a gorgeous handstand. Nice Ray. Beautiful Pak down to the low bar. Nice stuck double layout dismount! Great leadoff! 9.825
McCrary (Miz): Yurchenko full, a little bit piked throughout and takes a hop on the landing. 9.8
Scalzo (Ark): Blind into a nice Jaeger shootover combination. Nice double layout but hops back on the landing. 9.825
Schreiber (Miz): Nice Yurchenko full, very straight body position and just a small hop backwards.
Drotar (Ark): Starts with a Maloney to shootover combination with very nice form throughout. Really high double layout to finish and she sticks it! 9.9
Celestine (Miz): Wow. Really nice stuck Yurchenko 1.5. That was really pretty. 9.95
Jones (Ark): Great handstand to start out, then a blind into a beautiful piked Jaeger. Amazing Pak with feet glued together. Finishes with a double layout with a hop back.
Moore (Miz): She sticks it again! It was super high and she stuck it and after Celestine’s 9.95 I wouldn’t be shocked if it were a 10. Nope, 9.975
Pratt (Ark): Nice Ray to start out. Good shootover to toe Hecht combination. Takes a small hop back on her double layout. 9.825
Davis (Miz): Yurchenko 1.5, her legs are pretty bent and she steps sideways on the landing.
Flatley (Ark): A little archy on her first handstand. Nice Jaeger. Good shootover. Maybe takes a tiny hop in place on the double layout.
After 2: Missouri 98.775, Arkansas 98.5
This was a strong rotation for both teams! Missouri is showing some improved amplitude on its vaults, and both Celestine and Moore stuck! Arkansas had a clean bar rotation, and I honestly think some of its scores could’ve gone a little higher, especially in the SEC, but I’m not a judge. Very strong rotation either way!

Rotation 3: Arkansas BB, Missouri FX
Gamiao (Ark): Layout layout series to start, very solid landing. Nice side sumi. Switch leap split jump. Stuck the roundoff 1.5 dismount. She was so confident and she didn’t wobble at all! 9.925
Schreiber (Miz): Starts with a Rudi to back layout to split jump with really nice amplitude. Front full front layout stag jump was also good. Tour jete half to split full. Nice leadoff routine!
Gianfagna (Ark): Nice flic lay to start her routine. Nails the full turn. Gorgeous front toss to beat jump. Beat jump to straddle half. Stuck the roundoff 1.5! 9.9
Kratzer (Miz): Starts with a double tuck with good control. Switch half to Popa with really good straddle positions. Next is a back 1.5 to front layout. Finishes with a solid double pike. 9.9
Swaney (Ark): Gorgeous flic lay lay to start. Switch leap split jump, maybe some slightly bent knees. Back handspring to 1.5 dismount with a tiny hop. Another solid routine! 9.875
McCrary (Miz): Starts with a stuck front layout to Rudi. Switch side to Popa. Nice high double pike to finish. 9.875
Weaver (Ark): Flic lay lay and she falls. Switch leap straddle jump, gorgeous positions. Sticks the roundoff 1.5 dismount. It’s such a shame she fell on her series, the rest of the routine was so pretty. 9.125
Sheremeta (Miz): Starts with a front double twist with awesome control on the landing. Nice switch side to Popa, showed great flexibility. Nice Rudi to back layout step out, very floaty in both elements. 9.925
Hambrick (Ark): Wobbles on the full turn. Nice flic lay, no wobbles. Super pretty switch leap to switch half. Beat jump to straddle three quarter, wobbles but brings it back. Cartwheel to really high gainer full and she sticks it! Good bounce back after a fall! 9.85
Moore (Miz): Starts with a very nice double layout, great height and a good landing. Nice switch half Popa Popa. Finishes with a front tuck through to double tuck, again very high and very controlled. 9.975
Flatley (Ark): Front aerial to flic lay series, nice landing and great form throughout. Nice leg up full turn to split jump. Finishes with a stuck back handspring to 1.5 dismount! 9.975
Celestine (Miz): Sticks the full in! Tour jete half split full with beautiful splits. Back 1.5 to front tuck that I think was supposed to be a layout but she punched wrong. She managed to stay on her feet but it was low. Sticks the double tuck to finish off! It’s a shame that second pass was weird because the other two were great!
After 3: Missouri 148.3, Arkansas 148.025
Wow, this was a great rotation for both teams! Arkansas bounced back after last week’s disastrous beam rotation. Today the Razorbacks scored a huge 49.525 including a 9.975 from Norah Flatley. Missouri was strong on floor with a 49.525 of its own including Moore’s 9.975.
Rotation 4: Missouri BB, Arkansas FX
McCrary (Miz): Front toss to beat jump, so solid and pretty. Really nice flic lay. Split jump to ring jump. Dismounts with a gainer pike and she sticks it! 9.9
Jones (Ark): Starts with a nice front double twist with a controlled lunge out of it. Ring leap to switch half. Back 1.5 to front layout, maybe a little too much power but she covered it with some dance. Nice Rudi to finish, overall a solid leadoff!
Lawrence (Miz): Switch leap to split jump. Aerial to back handspring series, maybe some flexed feet. Nice front aerial. Sticks the roundoff 1.5. 9.925
Hickey (Ark): Starts with a nice high double pike. Very nice back 1.5 to front layout, really good amplitude. Switch side to Popa. Finishes with a double tuck, great control on the landing. 9.925
Davis (Miz): Nice flic lay with a tiny wobble on the landing. Front toss with another small wobble. Split jump to sheep jump, she’s just wobbly throughout this routine. Switch leap to back handspring gainer full, tiny step to the side. 9.875
Lovett (Ark): Starts with a double layout, she doesn’t get the rotation and lands on her knees, looks like it hurt. Nice high double tuck next but her lunge wasn’t quite controlled. Switch side to Popa was nice. Finishes with a front layout front full and stumbles a little on the landing. 9.05
Sheremeta (Miz): Nice flic lay, just a small wobble. Really nice full turn, no wobble at all. Front aerial beat jump Shushunova was great. Finishes with a stuck tucked gainer full. 9.9
Flatley (Ark): Triple full to start, she underrotated and fell, I was honestly afraid she was hurt but she seems fine. Nice switch side. Back 1.5 to front layout had good amplitude. Switch ring to swing half was nice. 9.125
Hu (Miz): Beautiful Y turn as usual. Gorgeous front aerial front aerial series. Nice straddle three quarter, small wobble at the end though. Back handspring gainer full with a step on the landing. 9.9
Williams (Ark): First pass is a huge full in with great control. Nice back 1.5 to front layout, nice amplitude and control. Gorgeous switch side to Popa. Last pass is a double tuck, her legs are pretty bent on the landing and she takes some steps back but she’s determined to stay on her feet! 9.75
Schreiber (Miz): Super solid flic lay, no wobbles at all. Gorgeous switch side to split jump, shows great flexibility. Beat jump to straddle three quarter. Nice side gainer full with a small hop back. 9.925
Price (Ark): Sticks the double layout for her first pass! Switch side to Popa, great straddle positions. Back 1.5 to a super high front pike. Finishes with a really nice double pike, the student section is going insane!
Final: Missouri 197.85, Arkansas 196.65
What a meet for Missouri! The Tigers just put up a huge road score and they seem to be peaking at the perfect time. Tonight wasn’t Arkansas’ night, but the Razorbacks were able to put up a huge beam score after last week’s mishap. The fifth-years just didn’t quite have the amplitude on floor, but they still got to the 196 mark.
