Lindenwood came out on top in this fascinating three-division face-off in the Lions’ home opener. The team’s 194.5 is the highest mark scored this season by any MIC or USAG nationals-eligible team, including all of DII/DIII. It also swept the individual event titles, with two honors going to senior Kiersten Sokolowski. Lindenwood doesn’t have an all arounder at this point, but watch for Sokolowski or sophomore Ryan Henry to add a fourth event it in the coming weeks.
Centenary’s score marked an improvement of over five points from its season opener and included two season bests of 9.7 on floor from Navia Jordan and Cami Bea Austin, as well as Tavia Smith’s third-place finish in the all around with a 37.125. Even this significantly improved team mark doesn’t represent the extent of Centenary’s potential; the team was held back by a difficult rotation on bars, and with a bye week during week four, it will have plenty of opportunity to improve for its home opener in two weeks.

Bridgeport continued its undefeated season with a home win over DI Brown, putting up four event scores over 48.000 and a season high team score to boot. The Purple Knights managed the feat by showing off the strength of their freshman class, with three newcomers registering scores at or above a 9.800: Kathryn Doran on bars, Lauren Ramirez on beam and Gabrielle Kistner on floor. Sophomore Maya Reimers won the all around in her first meet competing all four in 2018.

UW-Whitewater scored the highest mark of any DIII team this weekend, and the second-highest of the season so far, to maintain its undefeated record in 2018. The Warhawks also swept the individual titles: Lisa O’Donnell produced the highest score of the meet on floor and bars and went on to win the all around title while Lauren Marshall won vault and Franchesca Hutton took the top score on beam. The Warhawks’ total of 48.000 on floor is a top-20 score in program history and moves them into second in Division III on the event.
Gustavus Adolphus scored season highs on vault and floor as well as in the team total. Vault was the team’s best apparatus total with a 46.225, and that apparatus also featured its top individual mark, a 9.350 from Leah Heilig.
