NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Committee Outlines New and Proposed Rule Changes in Recent Meeting Notes

The NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Committee released meeting notes. Among the proposals are: modifying the NQS calculation to include more scores, increasing the number of athletes permitted in postseason to match the new roster limits, allowing a gymnast to exhibition in three meets without losing eligibility, and only allowing one neutral site meet within 30 miles of a school to count as an away meet. Spears Steps Away From College Coaching

After seven years at Arizona and eight years of college coaching, Taylor Spears is leaving her role as associate head coach to pursue other personal goals. An Oklahoma alumna, Spears played a role in the Sooners’ first national championship and entered the coaching ranks upon graduating, helping rebuild Arizona into a team that most recently finished at No. 16 nationally.
