Recruiting Roundup: August 15

In exciting news, we have the first commitment from the class of 2027! It coincides with the beginning of official visit season, so there is a lot of excitement soon to come for those interested in recruiting. For the older classes, there have been quite a few exciting commitments, but the highlight of the week was U.S. elite nationals, where several recruits had fantastic showings.

New Commitments

Class of 2025

  • Emma Slevin, an Irish gymnast who has competed at the world championships, will be using her two years of eligibility on an athletic scholarship at Minnesota.
  • Ava Sutphen and Tali Flanigan, two Temple commits, have switched classes from the class of 2026 to the class of 2025.

Class of 2026

  • State beam runner-up Jillian Arangorin has committed to UC Davis on a full athletic scholarship.
  • Three-star Giovannina Beltra, who scored 9.900 on vault to take her state title and competes a Yurckenko one and a half, has committed to Boise State on an athletic scholarship.
  • Washingtonian Jordyn Castillo, who reached the 9.600 mark on vault and floor at nationals, has accepted a scholarship to her home state school.
  • Ava Cirillo, who competed on bars at state and regional championships, has committed to Temple on scholarship.
  • Vault national champion Yuri Dunlap has committed to Clemson on a full athletic scholarship.
  • Lorelai Faucett, a gymnast from Missouri who placed in the top five on floor at regionals, has committed to Alaska.
  • Californian Ava Franco, who competed bars and beam this season, has committed to UC Davis on a full athletic scholarship.
  • Julia Funaro, who was state runner-up on bars and qualified to the national All-Star session on vault and floor, committed to Illinois on a full scholarship.
  • Virginia state balance beam champion Summer Hall has committed to Brown.
  • Three-star Dakota Haynes, who was state beam champion and regional vault champion, has committed to Missouri on a full-ride scholarship.
  • Coloradan Charlotte Holmberg, who qualified to nationals as an all-arounder, committed to Iowa State.
  • Another Colorado gymnast, Paige McAlenney, who was state champion on vault and beam and qualified to nationals on those events, has committed to Penn.
  • Savannah Musso, who competed as an all-arounder at nationals, has committed to Springfield.
  • Three-star Kate Waldock, who placed in the top ten on vault at nationals and was Utah state runner-up on the event, has committed to Boise State on an athletic scholarship.

Class of 2027

  • Sydney Fazio, who had multiple top-three finishes at regionals and qualified as an all-arounder to nationals, has committed to Nebraska.
