The final event of the FIG World Cup series took place in Cairo this past weekend which meant that overall event winners for the 2025 series were crowned. Following a first place finish in Osijek, Croatia and a sixth place finish in Antalya, Türkiye, Jayla Hang (Florida, ‘26) became the series champion on floor.

News

Nicole Desmond, a four-star recruit and member of the class of 2026, has announced she will end her elite career for now and join Oklahoma a year early as part of the class of 2025.

Camryn Dean (Illinois, ‘25) has announced her retirement from gymnastics.

Following the news that Ryan Snider and Haylee Young will leave their coaching roles at Iowa State, three-star Jillian Fisher (Iowa State, ‘25) has removed her social media posts for her commitment to the program. We will be watching for further updates. 

Meet Results

Tegan Shaver (Nebraska, ‘25) competed for Canada at the FIG Cairo World Cup. She qualified for vault, bars, and floor finals finishing in fifth, sixth, and seventh respectively.

Class of 2025
  • Linda Uro, a three-time state and regional beam champion, has committed to Western Michigan. She has been training a triple series, a front aerial handspring layout, and the more unusual front aerial side aerial.
  • Piper Gow, who trains at WOGA, has committed to Illinois on a full ride. She placed third on floor at regionals and has qualified to her second national championships.
  • Lacey Belcher has announced that she will join the team at Gustavus Adolphus. Belcher is in her first season of level 10, but has only completed beam and floor this season.
  • Alexia Zakaryan will continue her athletic and academic career at George Washington. She has an all-around high of 38.150 and career highs of 9.850 and 9.875 on vault and floor respectively.
  • Sky Skipper, an international student from Canada will join the program at University of Wisconsin Eau-Claire to continue her athletic and academic career in the United States.
  • Ursinus has picked up Giselle Boivin for their incoming freshman class, bringing the total number up to six.
  • Ashlyn Pearson has committed to Kent State. She is a two-time regional qualifier with a second place finish on bars.
Class of 2026
  • Adilenne Holt, a three-star recruit currently training at Metroplex, has announced her commitment to Penn and its admissions process to continue her academic and athletic career. Holt is a three-time national qualifier, Texas state, and regional bar champion.
