Leah Smith, a 4-star recruit in the class of 2021, has switched her commitment from Washington to Arkansas. Smith, who just completed an outstanding final season in level 10, could be a gamechanger for Jordyn Wieber’s Razorbacks.
Since switching gyms from AIM Athletics to World Champions Centre last summer, Smith has blossomed into a consistent all arounder, scoring over 39 points twice and posting a perfect 10.0 on floor and 9.950s on vault and bars.
She is the 2021 Nastia Liukin Cup champion, as well as the Region 3 all around champion with a huge 39.375. She recently won gold on floor, and silver in the all around (tied) and on bars at level 10 nationals.
At Arkansas she will join 4-star recruit Makenzie Sedlacek, who posted a 10.0 on vault this year, 3-star recruits Frankie Price, Kalyxta Gamiao and Maddie Jones, and Cami Weaver. They will represent one of the strongest classes the Razorback has ever welcomed.
Stay tuned for a more in-depth look at where Harris will contribute in her Recruit File, coming next week. Plus, to see a full view of Arkansas’ future classes, visit our Rosters & Commits Spreadsheet.
