Tonight’s top-ten matchup features a lock for the night session at SEC championships and a home team who could easily earn one of its own. While Kentucky has gone most of the season without major issues (it’s in the top 10, after all) the Wildcats must step up landings and polish if they want to hang with the away team tonight. Last week, Kaitlin DeGuzman was carried off the floor after an apparent injury during her exhibition routine, so look to see if she is replaced in the bars lineup tonight.
Florida punched in the nation’s highest floor total last week, which attracted considerable backlash if you somehow weren’t aware. All eyes will be on the Gators tonight as they move into less friendly territory looking for a road win. That win would clinch them at least a share of the SEC regular-season trophy, as they’re the only SEC team to not lose a conference meet yet.

Procacsky’s opening stick rejuvenated Kentucky’s vault lineup for a strong outing. Florida will not be happy with its landings after that one.

Davis (UK): DLO looks pretty in the air, steps back. 9.800
Schoenherr (UF): 1.5, legs crossed in the air, small step to the side. 9.900
Procasky (UK): Her first time in the lineup this season, replacing DeGuzman. Pretty lines, good Pak, double back tiny step. Good stepping up there. 9.800
Wong (UF): Half on front pike half off, almost looks like a stick but steps out of it just a little. 9.900
Nixon (UK): Big full-in, tiny TINY hop to the side. 9.875
Reed (UF): 1.5, does a little step dance out of it. Not super controlled. 9.825
Luksik (UK): Tkatchev not the biggest, bail better, nice handstands, sort of pikey DLO but sticks. 9.925
Thomas (UF): Everyone is a little off today, hops forward a little on her 1.5.
Angeny (UK): Blind change to JAeger good, legs a little apart at the end of the DLO and a small hop.
Blakely (UF): Anchor! She’s back. Small step forward, legs in the air, 9.925 is charitable.
Worley (UK): Big Tkatchev, Pak legs separated (not “glued,” Bridget), handstands nice as always, sticks DLO.

Kentucky lost a little momentum on bars with the dismounts but still managed to post its highest total of the season. Florida couldn’t get its usual sticks on vault but will be happy to have Blakely back in the end if she’s going to get those scores.

Luksik (UK): Onodi pretty, tiny shuffle on the BHS LOSO, switch half not quite 180 but controlled, beat, gainer pike small step. 9.675
Richards (UF): Love her Reggaeton routine. DLO big to open, straddle half to popa, back 1.5 to front lay. 9.750
Clay (UK): Love her blue hair. BHS LOSO bent legs, front aerial slight check, back 1.5 small hop forward, nervy but a hit. 9.725
Baumann (UF): Her opening choreo is so stunning. Back 1.5 to front full small step out. Pretty leap combo as always. Big slide out of double pike. 9.800

Hearing Magnelli’s score was lowered to a 9.85 because 9.900 was the result of 9.800/10.000 split. Super normal.

Blakely (UF): Double Arabian stumbles out, double tuck much better and more controlled. Back 1.5 to front lay was kinda scary, did not get air at aLL on the layout. 9.750

Florida leads by the razor thing margin of 0.050. The Gators tightened it up with the big last few scores.

Florida’s uncharacteristic landing issues kept it close all night but the Gators squeaked it out. It was their lowest score of the season, though. Kentucky started out on fire with those stuck vaults and couldn’t keep the same magic energy going forward, but still turned in a solid performance. Worley was, as usual, the standout.
