Decade Retrospective: Fast Facts From the 2010s

In just six days we’ll not only enter a new year but a brand new decade. But before we say goodbye to the 2010s for good, we thought we’d take the opportunity to look back on all that’s happened and changed over the past 10 years, from the first Olympic champions competing in NCAA to the farewells of three women’s gymnastics programs.

  • 2019 marked the first year of the new postseason format, with only eight teams making nationals and only four qualifying to the final.
