Both the Oklahoma Sooners and the Missouri Tigers are coming off huge weekends and this top 10 matchup should be nothing short of absolutely stellar.
Oklahoma is stepping into Tiger territory and coming off a huge 197.500 tie breaking win at the Sprouts Collegiate Quad, it has already shown to be strong this 2026 season. The lineups for the Sooners are a good mix of veterans and newcomers, most notable 5 star recruits Mackenzie Estep and Ella Murphy who each notched all scores of a 9.9 or better in their collegiate debuts. The return of all-arounders Addison Fatta, Faith Torrez and Lily Pederson contributed heavily in the win over three other top teams at this quad.
This will be the second home meet for the Tigers, and with already a four tenth jump from the first to second competition, Missouri is already on an upward trajectory. The team put up huge numbers across all four events, besting Oklahoma on floor with its previous performance at Nebraska last weekend. With standouts Hannah Horton on her three events and Addison Lawrence putting up a huge 9.95 on her specialty beam, the Tigers are building and it doesn’t look to be stopping.
The meet will be streamed at 9 p.m. ET on the SEC Network! Scores can be found on Virtius.
Rotation 1: Missouri VT, Oklahoma UB
The meet started a bit early so coming in after the first two routines.
Tanskanen (Missouri): Front handspring front pike half, chest down and a bit of a hop back. 9.800
Pederson (OU): Huge Ray, nice, down to a Pak, good pirouette, ends with a great handstand and sticks the double layout but really has to fight for it. 9.825
Jackson (Missouri): Huge Yurchenko 1.5, small step forward on that. Replay showing a little close to the table. 9.850.
Estep (OU): Tkachev, a little close on the catch but nice shoot over. Blind full right into a full in, small step back on that landing. 9.825
Echols (Missouri): HUGE Yurchenko full, small hop back on that landing, but wow what a huge vault!! 9.850
Murphy (OU): Maloney up to the high bar, right to Pak, really nice. Gorgeous last handstand to a double tuck dismount, doesn’t full get that stick, so it will be interesting to see what they do with that. 9.850
Tisler (Missouri): Yurchenko 1.5, hop forward and a little knee bend coming down but a really controlled landing. 9.850
Torrez (OU): Need some big scores from the last two here on bars. Starts with a huge Ray, pretty big arm bend on that catch, down to a flighty Pak, ends stuck double layout! Just what the Sooners needed here in the back of this lineup. 9.825
Horton (Missouri): Yurchenko 1.5, hops forward on that, but nice vault to anchor that lineup! 9.90!
Fatta (OU): Mounts and does the Church and grabs but misses that catch. Goes into her Pak and that is nice moving forward. Ends with a stuck double layout. Good recovery from that early fall, but not going to be enough to pull the Sooners in front of the Tigers.
AFTER ONE: Missouri 49.300 Oklahoma 49.100
The Missouri Tigers are going into the second rotation with a two tenth lead over the Sooners, after a pretty unusual performance on an event historically very solid for Oklahoma. With no scores over a 9.90, a 9.850 from Murphy was the highest score here. Although over a 49 event total this is definitely not the Oklahoma bars we know, but, knowing this team, they will go even harder on vault.
The Missouri Tigers’ first rotation was highlighted by a 9.9 anchor performance from Hannah Horton and a handful of 9.85s in the first five up. With a solid 49.300 on vault, the Tigers didn’t have any perfect landings, so this score has the potential to be even bigger next time around. This is already interesting going into event number two tonight.
Rotation 2: Oklahoma VT, Missouri UB
Blessy (OU): Really nice front handspring front pike just a small scoot back on the landing to lead off the Sooners. 9.925!
Lawrence (Missouri): A little strange catch on that Shaposh, but moved good into the Pak. Ending with a little short handstand into a stuck double tuck dismount! 9.500 after a judges conference.
Fatta (OU): Moving into number 2 spot, Yurchenko 1.5, small hop forward on that but a good rebound from bars for her! 9.90.
Macpherson (Missouri): *waiting on a judges conference for Lawrence’s routine. Okay ready for Macpherson! Mounts the bar with a nice Tkachev, fights for the next handstand to a great shoot over and ends, full in dismount to a stick! Great routine after that long wait! 9.725
Wells (OU): Yurchenko 1.5, really tiny hop forward on that landing. 9.925!
Kelly (Missouri): Nice handstand to a great Church directly to a shoot over. Holds that handstand into a stalder to a double tuck, small step back on that landing. 9.750
Estep (OU): Yurchenko 1.5 and shuffles her feet the smallest amount, but GREAT vault for the Sooners! 9.925 the third in this rotation for OU!
Horton (Missouri): Maloney right to a Pak, great connection, smooth on that. Nails that handstand and big dismount, drops her chest pretty low and hops her heels together. Good routine, but will be curious as to what the judges do with that dismount. 9.800
Torrez (OU): Yurchenko 1.5, hops back on that landing. 9.90
Echols (Missouri): Shootover, nice to handstand, Khorkina is SO GOOD and double layout dismount with a small hop forward on that landing.
Pederson (OU): Yurchenko 1.5 step back on that landing.
Green (Missouri): Maloney up, really nice into a Pak, really smooth on that and into a solid pirouette. Double layout dismount and comes out of the dismount a little too early, under rotates and takes a big step forward. 9.725
AFTER TWO: Oklahoma 98.675, Missouri 98.125
A HUGE rotation for the Sooners with a 49.575 on vault, but another off rotation on bars. Missouri struggled in some areas here, specifically with landings, with the highest score of the rotation at a 9.825 from Echols. Missouri needs to bounce back on beam to close this now more than five tenth gap heading into the back half of the meet and not let it grow. The Sooners did not have its strongest rotation on floor last weekend, so it will be interesting to see not only how they respond but if any changes are made in these lineups. Both teams are strong on both events, so this is going to be back and forth until the end!
Rotation 3: Missouri BB, Oklahoma FX
Wier (Missouri): Hitchkick to front aerial to BHS BHS and that is solid! Good full turn and moves into her straddle jump to straddle 1/2, great extension on that and fun down to the beam dance! Dismounts cartwheel gainer full off the side and really fights to that landing but gets the stick! 9.825
Slade (OU): First pass back 1.5 to front full, a little low on that front full but saves it and moves out of it. Good double pike in the second pass, much better landing. Switch side to straddle half, nice extension on that into her dance to end. Good lead off routine, just a little shakey on that first pass. 9.800
Macpherson (Missouri): Starts with a nice switch leap to split jump. BHS BHS LOSO, solid! Swing to standing LOSO, wow. That was excellent! Dismounts round off 1.5 and nails that landing! What a routine for her! 9.850
Murphy (OU): Floor debut for her! Front thru to double tuck, takes a step forward on that landing. Switch half to wolf full, great rotation on that. Round off 1.5 to layout and dances out of it. Switch full and goes right into her dance to end! 9.875
Tanskanen (Missouri): BHS LOSO, adjusts a little to stay on but good. Beat jump to straddle 12, nice. Cat leap, little hesitation into that front toss and wobbles a bit on that. Dismounts round off 1.5 and nails that dismount! 9.875
Pawlak (OU): Opens nice double pike, slides her front foot on this landing. Love this routine, so fun! Switch half to wolf full and good rotation on that. Second pass back 1.5 to front full and finishes that nice. Another leap into her ending, good routine for her! 9.800
Kelly (Missouri): Front aerial to BHS, great on that. Switch leap to split jump, good on that connection. Good side aerial and moves into her double wolf turn and so good! Ends with a round off 1.5 and NAILS IT. Wow, four really great hits for the Tigers so far!! 9.9!
Fatta (OU): Front full step out to a 2.5 and a MUCH better landing than last week. Nice leap but doesn’t fully get that straddle full to close. Front double full and moves out of it, maybe the slightest bit under rotated, but another great routine for the Sooners and a much better one for Fatta than the previous competition! 9.875
Jackson (Missouri): Front aerial and bails her BHS. Repeats and does it again and nails it this time. Switch leap to switch half to beat jump and makes it work although a little off with her shoulders but gives nothing up here. Dismounts Gainer pike off the end and just a small step back. Great fight on that routine! 9.800
Estep (OU): Front layout to front double full, a little lacking control on that landing but makes it work. Switch half to wolf full to floor dance. Moves into her second pass a 2.5 and dance out but this is much better controlled for her! 9.875
Lawrence (Missouri): Definitely a routine to look forward to here! Mounts beautifully, and starts off with her full turn and into a side aerial to BHS, is pretty sideways but pulls it back. Great split jump to split 3/4, fully 180 + wow. Gorgeous scale down to dance and dismounts round off 1.5 to stuck 1.5! What a rotation for the Tigers!
Mueller (OU): Front thru to a double tuck, great landing on this with control and chest position. Spooky, intense choreo, loving this. Front layout to a front 1.5, maybe the slightest under rotated, but recovers nice. Great ending for this lineup! 9.850
AFTER THREE: Oklahoma 147.950 Missouri 197.450
Now that’s what we wanted to see from these two teams! A huge beam rotation for Missouri putting up a 49.325 highlighted by 9.9 in the fourth spot from Olivia Kelly. This event had several stuck landings to get these tenths back, strong, confident routines and a huge boost of confidence moving forward into the Tigers’ best event.
A better performance for the Sooners on floor than last season, but still not up to where this event has been in the past. Solid scores throughout the lineup, but nothing above a 9.9 on this event. Both teams are moving to one of its strongest events, and while Oklahoma still has a pretty significant lead over Missouri, beam is where meets are decided! The Tigers could have a lights out floor rotation and make this meet come down to the last routine, or Oklahoma could run away with it in the fourth rotation. Either way, both teams have bounced back from this first half and the end will certainly be exciting!
Rotation 4: Oklahoma BB, Missouri FX
Fatta (OU): Moved into this new spot for her and starts off with a great BHS LOSO. Side aerial, right on top on that. Hitch kick to a switch side and has to hop her feet together facing sideways a bit. Switch leap to split jump, great and ends with a BHS gainer full STUCK. Great lead-off wow! 9.9!
Tisler (Missouri): Great first pass to start off and love her energy on this routine. Switch half to a straddle full and over extends so nice! Second pass back 1.5 to great front layout, really great lead-off! 9.850
Wells (OU): Cat leap to a switch leg side aerial, so hard, but done extremely well. Switch leap to split jump, nice connection. BHS LOSO a little off but doesn’t let it go and holds onto that landing. STUCK round off 1.5 to close! Back to back 9.9s for the Sooners!
Jackson (Missouri): Great double pike for her to start. Switch ring to switch half to wolf full, excellent. Front thru to a double tuck, chest is a little down on that landing but recovers well. 9.825
Murphy (OU): BHS LOSO really nice to start. Front aerial, nice. Beat jump to ring jump done very well. BHS gainer full and NAILS it. Wow. What a routine in the third spot. 9.925!
Acevedo (Missouri): Starts huge double pike and doesn’t even need to take that step! Second pass, back 1.5 to front layout, really nice. Switch half to wolf full, really great. HUGE double tuck to close!! Love the three pass!!! 9.9
Pederson (OU): BHS LOSO, nice to start. Side sumi, really nice control and grressive landing on that. Hitch kick to switch side, a little uneven on that leap. Dismounts round off double full and two arm circles and takes a step on that landing, that will definitley be the biggest deduction on that routine. 9.800
Tanskanen (Missouri): Great full in but slides that front foot a little on the landing. Back 1.5 to front full really nice and absolutely love this routine!! 9.825
Scheible (OU): BHS LOSO, medium sized wobble on that but keeps it on the beam. Leap to switch side an and is off on that skill. Front toss is solid. Cartwheel to Gainer full of the side and sticks that. Just looked a little off, but with a huge four routines preceding and Torrez to follow, the Sooners should be good on this event. 8.875
Horton (Missouri): HUGE double layout to open this fun routine! Great leaps right into floor dance. Front pike step out to SKY HIGH double tuck and that landing was excellent!
Torrez (OU): Big moment for the Sooners with this final routine. Torrez starts off with a beautiful wolf jump. Side aerial to LOSO, perfect. Full turn ends on toe and moves right into dance. Switch leap to straddle jump, nice extension and a big BHS Gainer full stuck! 9.950 to cap off this rotation!
Griffin (Missouri): Huge double pike, a little out of control but nothin major just a lot of power. Second pass a front thru to double tuck and has no problems there! Torjete full to straddle full straddle full and ends this meet strong for the Tigers!
FINAL: Oklahoma 197.425, Missouri 196.925
The second half of this competition was certainly what we are more accustomed to seeing from these two teams. Missouri had a great beam rotation, followed by an even better floor rotation of a huge 49.425 and ending with a team total just under a 197.
Oklahoma started off shaky on bars but came back strong on the other three to take the win by five tenths over Missouri in the end. Another competition where the Sooners are scoring big early on although slightly lower than its last performance at the Sprouts Quad, and with a couple mistakes in the meet, there is still room to grow!
Overall, some big highlights for both teams; Torrez ending the night for the Sooners with a big 9.95 on beam in the anchor spot, back to back 9.925s on floor for the Tigers, and great energy all around. A great competition to start off another busy weekend for gymnastics!
VT: Blessy, Wells, Estep (OU) 9.925
UB: Murphy (OU) 9.850
BB: Torrez (OU) 9.950
FX: Horton, Griffin (Missouri) 9.925
