2026 Recruit Ratings by the Numbers

The classes of 2026, 2027, and 2028 feature an impressive group of rising talent. We’re taking a closer look at key metrics and performance trends to highlight the next wave of collegiate gymnastics stars. From the overall number of rated athletes to the programs bringing in the strongest recruiting classes, there’s plenty to watch in this year’s cycle.

405 Total Rated Recruits

After completing this year’s evaluations, a total of 405 gymnasts across the three classes received ratings. The class of 2026 includes 36 five-stars, 58 four-stars, and 71 three-stars. In the class of 2027, 13 athletes earned five-star status, with 54 four-stars and 75 three-stars. The class of 2028 joins the rankings with 11 five-stars, 34 four-stars, and 53 three-stars.

243 Gymnasts Improved

One of the most exciting elements of each cycle is tracking athlete development over time. This year, 101 previously unrated gymnasts earned a star rating for the first time, including 31 newcomers in the class of 2026 and 70 in the class of 2027.

Top States

Texas once again leads the way in total rated recruits, with 62 gymnasts across the three classes. California ranks second with 40, followed by Florida with 28. Completing the top five are Ohio with 19 and North Carolina with 17 rated athletes.

International Recruits

The international presence in NCAA gymnastics continues to grow, with 66 athletes from outside the United States earning ratings this cycle. Canada once again leads the group with 38 gymnasts, followed by England with eight. France and Romania each contribute three athletes, while Egypt and Wales are represented by two apiece. Australia, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Malta, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama, Spain, and Taiwan each have one rated gymnast.

Top Clubs

Brandy Johnson’s (FL) enters the top of the club rankings for the first time with 13 rated athletes, accounting for almost half of all rated recruits from the state of Florida. WOGA (TX) follows in second with 11, making it one of just two clubs to reach double-digit rated recruits. Metroplex (TX) and AIM Athletics (TX) are tied for third with nine apiece, while Twin City Twisters (MN), Gymnastics Olympia USA (CA), Gold Medal (AZ), and Pacific Reign (WA) round out the top group with seven rated gymnasts each.

Colleges With the Most Rated Recruits

LSU tops this year’s list with 13 rated recruits, followed by Florida and Alabama with 11. Close behind are Clemson, Georgia, and Arkansas, all with 10 rated athletes apiece.

13 Perfect Event Totals

Achieving a perfect 25 on an event remains one of the most difficult milestones in our rating system, making each occurrence noteworthy. This year saw 13 perfect event totals, with eight gymnasts reaching that mark for the first time: Cameron Tassone (2026, UCLA) on vault, Imani White (2026, Missouri) on bars, Jayla Hang (2026, Florida) on vault, Jazlyn Jackson (2026, Ohio State) on bars, Simone Rose (2026, Florida) on vault, Ariana Barksdale (2027, Florida) on floor, Galilee Vestnys (2027, Utah) on vault, and Morgan Braun (2027, Iowa) on bars. Retaining their perfect event totals from last year’s rating cycle are Presley Duke (2026, Oklahoma) on bars, Elizaveta Grebenkova (2026, Alabama) on bars, Kennedy Cochran (2026, Alabama) on floor, Kendall Torrens (2026, Oklahoma) on floor, and Reese Esponda (2027, LSU) on floor.
