Georgia’s quest to reach nationals for the first time since 2019 begins here. The Bulldogs are favored to advance out of this session alongside Michigan State, but the field is far from a formality. BYU has already broken 197 this season, and Southern Utah has come close, making both teams legitimate threats.
Georgia and Michigan State will look to separate themselves on vault and floor, where both teams have shown the scoring potential to take control.
The individual race could be just as compelling as the team battle. With one of the favorites likely to advance, the vault and floor qualifying spots may come from this session. The all-around competition is also stacked, with Michigan State’s Nikki Smith and MaKayla Tucker set to go head-to-head with Southern Utah’s Niya Randolph, who has put together an outstanding junior campaign.
The meet will be streamed on ESPN+, live scores can be found on Virtius.

Southern Utah has been strong on floor all year so it is not suprising to see the Thunderbirds in the mix after the first rotation. Georgia leading after vault is also not suprising. Michigan State was able to put together a solid rotation after the early missed dismount from Cosman. Cosman hit her foot going into the dismount and has been pulled from the beam lineup.

Southern Utach counting a fall on beam takes the Thunderbirds out of the running here. After a good floor rotation BYU is nipping at the heals of Michigan State, but the Spartans are going to its best two events for the back half of this meet. Georgia counted a fall in that rotation, but you would hardly be able to tell based on the score. It what could have been interesting in the final rotation with Georgia battling with BYU will not be that interesting because Georgia is going to floor which is a strong event for the Bulldogs. Michigan State pulled ahead using its floor rotation and will look to stay in a qualifying position on vault. BYU will have to go lights out on bars to have a chance.
