LIVE BLOG: Stanford at Denver

We are back! No. 18 Stanford is taking on No. 13 Denver at its own arena. This is the first meet of the season for both teams, so I am excited to see where they will stand after the competition!

Stanford is coming off of the great 2025 season, averaging above a 49.00 on all events. Bars and Floor are specifically where they excel, with Anna Roberts and Ui Soma leading the way. Last season, Roberts earned multiple scores exceeding 9.9 with only one miss. Soma remained consistent all season, even scoring a perfect 10.0. On Floor, we can expect to see Ana Barbosu, Claire Dean, and Roberts performing, providing high scores for their team. Other gymnasts to look out for are Freshman Ana Barbosu and Junior Sienna Robinson.

After watching the Pioneer’s Intrasquad a couple weeks ago, I am looking forward to seeing what they will do! Performing at home, they only had one fall and other minor mistakes throughout all events, showcasing their confidence and hard work in the off season. If Denver can find the landings, we can expect some high scores. Keep an eye out for Maddison Reidenbach, Cecelia Cooley, Shyla Bhatia, and Mila Brusch on all-around!

Lets see how these teams will perform for their first meet in 2026!
