Elite national championships are here, and some known stars, such as Leanne Wong and Joscelyn Roberson, will be in the hunt for the title. With people returning from being on hiatus and other top contenders having inconsistent seasons, the title is anyone’s game. The only Olympic team member competing, Hezly Rivera, has the highest qualifying score, but hasn’t broken 55 this year and has only broken 53 once. College star Leanne Wong has the next highest qualifying score, but has not yet competed an elite all-around meet this year. On the other hand, Jayla Hang and Claire Pease have both had spectacular seasons with various international and national successes, but they will also need to fend off Joscelyn Roberson, who had a great meet at the US Classic and seemed primed to compete upgrades here.
