Re-rating recruits is one of the most important facets of a recruit rating system, as it rewards young, developing gymnasts for the progress they make throughout their pre-college careers. Whether they add new skills, finesse their form, or demonstrate newfound confidence, gymnasts are always trying to up their games for college coaches. With another level 10 season behind us, it’s time to take a look at recruits from the class of 2026 who made some significant gains over the past year.
Gabrielle Black
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
College commitment: Utah
Improvement: 62 to 84
Reason for improvement: Black improved on every event, but her biggest improvements came on vault, bars, and floor. She upgraded her skills while maintaining and improving her execution; her leaps on floor are notably improved. The Utah commit now boasts two potential 10.0 start value vault options and E skills on bars and floor, to name a few.
Where she can get even better: While she improved her beam total slightly, it is her weakest event at the moment, and there’s plenty of room to improve her consistency and continue refining her form. Working to control her power on vault will go a long way as well, as she can overcook it at times.
Abygail Mackinney
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
College commitment: Arizona
Improvement: 48 to 66
Reason for improvement: After missing the 2023 season due to injury, Mackinney returned to competition in 2024 but didn’t compete floor until midseason. Her biggest improvements came on vault and floor, as she consistently competed a Yurchenko full for the entire season for the first time and returned to her pre-injury self on floor.
Where she can get even better: Beam is her weak event, and she could improve her consistency and leaps there. She doesn’t have the most difficult skills on vault or floor and could work upgrades on those events as well.
Kendall Morgan
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
College commitment: Uncommitted
Improvement: 63 to 79
Reason for improvement: The top remaining uncommitted 2026, Morgan leveled up this season, notching a career-best 39.275 in the all-around at regionals. She upgraded her vault to a Yurchenko one and a half in the postseason, and it already looks college-ready. Additionally, she added a floaty double layout on floor.
Where she can get even better: There’s room for Morgan to improve her consistency on beam and her form on her Pak salto on bars.
Jada Kim
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
College commitment: Georgia
Improvement: 63 to 79
Reason for improvement: Kim’s potential was clear when we rated her last year, and she lived up to it in 2025, with half of her all-around scores at or above 38.700, including a 39-plus. The Georgia commit improved her consistency on bars, beam, and floor and added a double layout on floor this season.
Where she can get even better: Although her Yurchenko full is college-ready, an upgrade would take her to the next level. While she improved her consistency this season, she could continue to improve in that area as well.
Oaklie Deputy
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
College commitment: Ohio State
Improvement: 65 to 81
Reason for improvement: Deputy’s biggest improvement was vault, where she upgraded from a Yurchenko layout to a Yurchenko full-on tuck. The future Buckeye was already excellent on bars, beam, and floor, but improved her point totals on each of those events as well.
Where she can get even better: Her vault took a massive step forward this year, but there’s still room for improvement, whether it be via upgrade, execution improvements, or both.
Lindsay Pseja
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
College commitment: Minnesota
Improvement: 57 to 72
Reason for improvement: Pseja’s excellent form stood out to us last year. The consistency wasn’t quite there in the past, but the future Gopher built on a strong end to her 2024 season with her best season yet in 2025, drastically improving her consistency and notching almost half of her all-around scores above 38.600.
Where she can get even better: She changed her vault this season from a Yurchenko full to a front handspring tuck. The new vault is equally as clean and more dynamic, but it’s a lower start value in college. If she can upgrade it further, that will take her to the next level.
Mylee Grant
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
College commitment: Kentucky
Improvement: NR to 69
Reason for improvement: Grant didn’t always get the scores in the past and being able to drop those scores from her score points helped her drastically. The Kentucky commit built on her improved 2024 season with another good season in 2025 and ended it with a bang—she notched a career-high 38.750 at nationals. In addition to adding a full-in on floor, she showed an upgraded double twisting Yurchenko on vault later in the season.
Where she can get even better: Beam is a struggle for Grant, as she struggles to consistently stay on the beam. Improved consistency would go a long way to elevating her to the next level.
Michelle Lin
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
College commitment: Denver
Improvement: NR to 66
Reason for improvement: Denver may have found a hidden gem in Lin, as she was recovering from an injury and didn’t have much recent competition experience coupled with lackluster pre-injury scores, leaving her unrated. Her vault in particular took strides; she notched a 10.000 on the event this season with her front handspring pike half.
Where she can get even better: Her gymnastics is clean across the board, but she could improve her consistency on bars. Although her routine is clean, she struggles the most with consistency on the event.
Zoey Molomo
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
College commitment: UCLA
Improvement: 64 to 78
Reason for improvement: Molomo improved her point total on every event, but the event she improved the most on was vault. It was clear the UCLA commit had potential on the event previously, and she learned how to control her power and land her Yurchenko one and a half cleaner than in the past.
Where she can get even better: Molomo’s strengths lie on vault and floor, whereas she’s weaker on bars and beam. Her form could be improved on bars and beam, which would take her to the next level on those events.
Emerson Gaa
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
College commitment: Denver
Improvement: 63 to 76
Reason for improvement: Gaa refined her skills and upgraded her bar dismount to not only an up to level for college dismount, but an E dismount in a full-twisting double tuck. The Denver commit became more consistent on bars and beam and improved her amplitude on vault. Her floor was already a highlight, and she continued to show it, notching her first perfect 10 on the event.
Where she can get even better: There’s room for the Denver commit to further upgrade her skills, especially on vault where she “only” performs a Yurchenko full. She could also further improve her consistency on beam, where her difficult routine is prone to the occasional mistake.
Sofia Estrada
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
College commitment: Oklahoma
Improvement: 75 to 88
Reason for improvement: Though she improved her point total on every event, the main reason for Estrada’s improvement is beam. She improved her consistency and overall execution on the event to take her routine to the next level.
Where she can get even better: While the future Sooner improved her beam this season, she could continue to improve her consistency on the event. Otherwise, she has the makings of an excellent beam worker.
