Price to Transfer from Fisk

Fisk junior Morgan Price announced her decision to transfer for her final year of eligibility. A standout since her freshman year, Price made history by sweeping all event titles at this year’s inaugural WCGNIC Championsips. Notably, she was previously verbally committed to Arkansas, where her sister Frankie just announced she’ll be returning for her fifth year of eligibility.

House Settlement Attorneys File Brief to Address Roster-Limit Concerns

To address Judge Claudia Wilken’s concerns about roster limits in college athletics–the factor that prevented her from approving the House settlement–attorneys representing the parties submitted revised filings that addressed the limits and harms that they may cause to certain student athletes. The following groups of student athletes will be grandfathered in: those currently on a roster, those athletes who were already cut this year, and high school recruits who enrolled at a school after committing to a roster position which then became eliminated.

  • Maryland is really making waves in the transfer portal. Chelsey Dennis transferred from Towson to Maryland with two years of eligibility remaining. Joining her in College Park will be Bowling Green transfer Megan Bingham, who has one year of eligibility remaining, and New Hampshire transfer Aine Reade, who has three years of eligibility remaining. 
  • Aria Roberts transferred from Centenary to Cortland with three years of eligibility remaining. 
  • Jayda Lewter transferred from Minnesota to Rutgers with three years of eligibility remaining. 
  • Callie Gardner transferred from Towson to Kentucky with three years of eligibility remaining. 
  • Dakota Essenpries transferred from Arkansas to in-conference Missouri with two years of eligibility remaining. 
  • Madison Gustitus transferred to Arkansas after her freshman year at San Jose State. Per her Instagram story, she also visited Ohio State, Michigan, and North Carolina. 
Outgoing Transfers

Whitewater sophomore Chloe Hammond is in the portal with two years of eligibility remaining.

Fifth-Year Returns

Grace Anne Davis and Lauren Macpherson will return to Missouri for their fifth and sixth years of eligibility, respectively. Nyah Reader will return to SEMO for her fifth year. Marissa Rojas and Haley Tyson will return to Iowa for their fifth years.

Ohio State rising sophomore Karleigh Reutzel is training a front handspring pike half vault. Former Whitewater gymnast Chloe Hammond, currently in the transfer portal, is training a gainer layout layout series on beam.

Rising Missouri sophomore Kaia Tanskanen earned a third place finish in the all-around at the Finnish National Championships.

Oregon State Gymnasts Earn Pac-12 Awards

Oregon State gymnasts Jade Carey, Kaitlin Garcia, and Sage Thompson earned Pac-12 conference awards. Carey was named Overall Top Performer, Garcia was named Specialist Top Performer, and Thompson was named Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Hunter to be Inducted Into UF Athletic Hall of Fame

Former Florida gymnastics standout Kytra Hunter will be inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame. She was given this news by current Gators Kayla DiCello and Anya Pilgrim, who also trained at Hunter’s club, Hill’s Gymnastics.
