ESPN announced its 2025 broadcast schedule on Wednesday, with over 100 hours of gymnastics scheduled across ESPN networks—the most in the network’s history of broadcasting college gymnastics.
The network broadcasts begin week one with reigning champion LSU’s home opener against Iowa State on the SEC Network. To conclude the weekend, the ESPN team visits Magness Arena for the first time in the regular season as Denver hosts Michigan.
ESPN will again host the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad on January 10 and 11. Of the 12 teams competing across three sessions, five made an appearance at nationals in 2024. Session two features three of the four national finalists from last season: LSU, California, and Utah along with perennial national title contender Oklahoma. Rounding out the lineup are Michigan, N.C. State, Arizona, and Clemson in session one and Arkansas, Kentucky, Ohio State, and UCLA in session three.
SEC Network enters year 11 of Friday Night Heights with new conference member Oklahoma added to the mix. Beginning January 3, there will be nine straight weeks of Friday Night Heights action and seven triple headers throughout the season. The Sooners will see their first action on SEC Network as members of the conference on January 7 against Missouri, the final meet of a triple header that also includes Arkansas at Auburn and the much anticipated Florida at LSU duel (ESPN2).
While Oklahoma joins the SEC, California and Stanford make their way to the ACC and will be featured on ACC Network. The ACC network window is set for 4 p.m. ET on Sundays and includes meets such as Stanford at Pittsburgh on January 26, California at N.C. State on February 2, and an all-Carolina meet with Clemson and North Carolina on February 9. Additionally, ACC Network will televise Elevate the Stage Huntsville on March 9, where California, Alabama, Michigan State, and North Carolina are set to compete.
ESPN2 will broadcast the annual rivalry meet between Arizona and Arizona State on January 26, as both teams compete in their first year in the Big 12 Conference. Georgia hosts longstanding rival Alabama on January 31, a meet slated for SEC Network. A Valentine’s Day meet is in the cards in Baton Rouge for Oklahoma and LSU, where the reigning champions compete against powerhouse Oklahoma in a matchup that could be a preview of the national final. The gymnastics Iron Bowl between Auburn and Alabama is set for February 21 on SEC Network.
The network will once again be home to postseason coverage, starting with the conference championships, with ESPN Networks set to broadcast six sessions across three conferences (ACC, Big 12, SEC). In NCAA tournament competition, ESPN+ is slated to pick up all regionals sessions (April 2-6), both national semifinals on ESPN2 (April 17), and the national championship final on ABC (April 19). The network plans to host alternative streams on ESPN+ again. New this year, the network will also air the men’s national championship on ESPN2 (April 19).
