Top Storylines
Corinne Tarver Named Athletic Director
Corinne Tarver, Fisk’s inaugural head coach, will add athletic director to her list of duties in her first year at the university.
Other Newsworthy Items
- Utah promoted assistant coach Carly Dockendorf from assistant coach to associate head coach. Dockendorf primarily coaches beam for the Utes and has been with the program for five seasons.
- Rising junior Lauren Thomas announced she will be transferring from Washington to Iowa State for her last two years of eligibility. Thomas was a contributor to the Huskies on bars and beam in 2022.
- Denver senior Emma Brown announced she will graduate early and forego her final year of eligibility. Brown spent her freshman and junior seasons at Denver and did not compete her sophomore season at LIU.
- Nya Reed announced she will be utilizing her fifth year of eligibility at Florida. Shallon Olsen will also be taking a fifth year at Alabama.
- Ana Palacios of Iowa State will be competing in Brazil at the Pan-American Championships.
- Incoming Florida freshman Kayla DiCello will represent the United States at the Pan-American Championships. The US roster also features LSU commit Zoe Miller and future gator Skye Blakely, who recently announced her deferral until the 2025 season.
- Tara Walsh announced that she will be transferring from Auburn to Michigan State.
- Sophia McClelland announced that she will be transferring from BYU to Nebraska. McClelland made consistent appearances in the beam lineup in her freshman and sophomore years at BYU.
Training Updates
- Rising Iowa State sophomore and Tokyo Olympian Marina Gonzalez posted an Instagram clip of a triple series on the balance beam. Gonzalez did not compete for the Cyclones in 2022.
- Kentucky fifth year Arianna Patterson is training a front pike half bar dismount.
- Centenary’s Olivia Stratmann posted a training video catching a Ray on bars.
- Washington’s Taylor Russon was seen training a new beam leap combination, switch leap to split full to split jump. Teammate Morgan Bowles is bringing back her side aerial to back handspring series.
- Rising Ohio State junior Hannah Oliveros is training a gainer full beam dismount into the pit.
- Rising Penn State sophomore Elina Vihrova has moved her full in from the pit to the resi.
- Incoming Penn State freshman Haleigh Gibble is training a full in to the resi.
