Recruiting Roundup: February 2022

Welcome to your monthly recruiting news. Take a look at all NCAA commits, top club meet results and training updates for the past month in college gymnastics recruiting. Additionally, check out how this month’s commits changed their teams’ class rankings.

Committed Tracker

• Cal signee eMjae Frazier showed off a Nabieva to Pak salto on bars at the Winter Cup.
• Oklahoma commit Hannah Scheible entertained the crowd at the Nastia Liukin Cup with her acting skills on floor exercise. 

Uncommitted Watcher

• Lily Pederson, in the class of 2024, showed off a double tuck with 1.5 twists on floor in training, as well as a beautifully stuck Yurchenko 1.5 on vault in competition, at the Nastia Liukin Cup.
• The NLC/Winter Cup weekend displayed some beautifully choreographed floor routines, including those of Azaraya Ra-Akbar, Tiana Sumanasekera and Jasmine Cawley, all in the class of 2025. 

Meet Results

• Alabama commit Jamison Sears won the senior Nastia Liukin Cup, tying with Michigan State signee Nikki Smith, who won silver, and 2024 graduate Avery Neff, who won bronze.
• 2025 graduate Natalia Pawlak won the junior Nastia Liukin Cup, ahead of 2026 graduate Presley Duke and 2025 graduate Jasmine Cawley.

Elite Corner

• LSU commit Konnor McClain won the Winter Cup, ahead of Florida commit Skye Blakely and California signee eMjae Frazier.
