Cal was pretty much on fire Saturday starting with the second rotation. On bars the Golden Bears not only hit a program record but tied the highest bars total in NCAA gymnastics history with a 49.825, which included a perfect 10 from senior Emi Watterson. The previous program record was a 49.575 set in 2019. The team went on to set another program record on beam with a 49.500. Its previous high on that event was 49.475, scored in 2019. Finally, the Golden Bears topped it all off with a team program record 198.050, besting its previous mark of 197.675 from the 2019 regional final.

Stick of the Week

Haleigh Bryant (LSU)

THIS is a perfect 10. The height! The form! The stick! We canโ€™t get enough. Weโ€™ve watched it approximately 53,572 times already, and weโ€™re not slowing down.

Perfect 10 of the Week

Donโ€™t pretend like youโ€™re surprisedโ€ฆ Again, weโ€™re not sorry.

Comeback Rotation of the Week

Georgiaโ€™s Beam Rotation

Georgia has so much potential with its gymnastics, but the team struggles with consistency. The Gymdogs had a season-best beam rotation after significant errors last week. Haley De Jong, Rachel Baumann and Marissa Oakley all scored 9.925 or better on the apparatus.

Routine of the Week

Haleigh Bryant (LSU)

Weโ€™re not going to apologize about being obsessed with this vault. We knew it was only a matter of time before she stuck it and got the 10, and weโ€™re glad it finally happened.

Senior Night Moment of the Week

Karrie Thomas (Oklahoma)

The senior Sooner performed on floor for the very first time on senior night, hitting all her tumbling and scoring a 9.875. Thomas has already indicated she plans to return for a fifth, COVID year in 2022. Could we see her compete three events or even in the all around in the future?

Sportsmanship Moment of the Week

BYU

The Cougars were having an absolute blast competing at Oklahoma, with many of the team members not only cheering for the final Sooner floor routine, but dancing around and even mimicking choreography for the entire Oklahoma floor rotation.

Hottest Twitter Take

Twitter was immediately chattering about Floridaโ€™s new cap-sleeved leotard, but this person is the only one who made us legitimately laugh out loud.
