Another season has passed but we’re already looking forward to 2018. Like the cliché says, it’s all about the team, and we want to make our team even better. To do just that, we’re looking for new contributors! Do you want to join the team behind the NCAA Gym News? Find out more information below, submit your information and you could join the ranks!
Please note that this is a non-paying role with NCAA Gym News. It’s mainly a part-time position we all do for fun because we love collegiate gymnastics a bit too much and need an appropriate outlet!
Division II/III Editor
We want to expand our coverage in 2018 to include all women’s gymnastics teams in the NCAA, and that includes DII and DIII teams! We’re looking for a passionate gym nerd with writing experience to take on the DII/III beat for NCAA Gym News for the upcoming season. The person that fills this role should be passionate about non-division one gymnastics and enjoy following and covering teams from Lindenwood to Yale—and every team in between. Plus, past writing experience always helps. They might be a former gymnast from this level or merely a lover of all things collegiate gymnastics! If this sounds like you, send us an email at [email protected] with the subject line “New Contributor.”
Recruiting Editor
We think it’s important to look at the future of NCAA gymnastics rather than just what’s going on in the sport right now. Those stars had to start somewhere after all. So, do you love following J.O. gymnastics and being able to say, “I remember when she was just a first-year level 10!”? Why not join our team? The person who fills this position should be passionate about J.O. gymnastics and recruiting and have prior writing experience. If we basically just described you, send us an email at [email protected] with the subject line “New Contributor.”
Men’s Editor
While women’s gymnastics draws the most attention and has a bigger fanbase, NCAA MAG is just as cool and deserves coverage as well! To cover the men’s side of the sport to the depth it merits, we’re looking for a gym nerd for the NCAA men’s beat. The person that fills this position should be passionate about men’s gymnastics and have prior writing experience, whether that means being an english major or having a blog. If this sounds like the gig for you, email us at [email protected] with the subject line “New Contributor.”
General Contributor
We’re always looking for fresh voices or perspectives for the site. Maybe you’re a stats nerd who wants their personal gym projects that no one ever sees to become public and help out the rest of the gymternet. Maybe you’re a journalist that wants to write about gymnastics on the side (because your dream job of “gymnastics beat writer” isn’t currently available). Or maybe you’re just a gym nerd that follows NCAA Gym News, wants to help make the site even better and has ideas about how to do just that! If you want to join the team, send us an email at [email protected] with the subject line “New Contributor” and tell us a little bit about why you would be an asset to our team.
I think you should add polls like who will win polls and contests
Can you do a potential lineup for Air Force, Alaska, Auburn, and Denver
Thanks for the suggestions! Auburn and Denver are on our schedule already, and we will consider Air Force and Alaska for our non-Big 4 conference additions.
