Illinois head coach Kim Landrus received a contract extension through 2018 it was announced Thursday. Landrus is entering her sixth season as head coach in 2016 and 14th total season with the Illinois program. She led the team to three NCAA championship appearances including its best finish in program history each time by finishing 11th. Before Landrus took over, the program had only qualified to the national championships once.
