Competition Results
The Pan American Championships ran June 17-24, featuring a strong contingent of future NCAA competitors.
In the team competition, the USA took the gold medal with Canada claiming silver. Individually, Claire Pease (Utah, ’27) and Charleigh Bullock (’28) went 1-2 in the all-around, while Hezley Rivera (LSU, ’28) was forced to withdraw after vaulting a full-twisting Yurchenko in place of her usual double. Rivera had been managing a sore hamstring, which was aggravated on the vault. Lia-Monica Fontaine (’28) and Lia Redick (LSU, ’27) were the top two Canadians in the all-around, finishing fifth and sixth, respectively.
In the vault final, Fontaine took silver and Pease bronze. Simone Rose (Florida, ’27) and Gabrielle Black (Utah, ’26) also competed, finishing sixth and eighth, respectively.
Rose claimed silver in both the beam and uneven bars finals. Pease joined her in the bars final, placing fifth. On beam, Redick narrowly missed the podium for Canada in fourth, Bullock finished sixth, and Michelle Pineda (UCLA, ’26) of Mexico placed eighth.
Pease, Bullock, Redick, and Black all featured in the floor final, with Pease and Redick taking the top two spots. Black and Bullock finished fifth and sixth, respectively.
