The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater will see a significant transition in its gymnastics program, as longtime head coach Jennifer Regan will not return for the 2027 season. The announcement marks the end of a more than two-decade tenure that helped shape the Warhawks into a consistent presence on the national stage.
Regan led UWW for 24 seasons, overseeing a period of sustained success in the NCGA. Under her guidance, the Warhawks recorded 13 top-three finishes at the NCGA championships and produced more than 150 All-America honors, establishing the program as one of the division’s most competitive.
In a statement, Director of Athletics Ryan Callahan thanked Regan for her leadership and contributions to the university, noting her long-standing impact on the program and wishing her well moving forward.
Stepping into the role on an interim basis will be assistant coach Chloe Edgren, effective May 23. A former standout gymnast for Whitewater, Edgren brings both competitive and coaching experience to the position. During her collegiate career from 2014 to 2018, she earned All-America recognition twice and was part of three national championship-winning teams. Since returning to her alma mater as an assistant coach in 2020, she has been involved in developing the next generation of Warhawk gymnasts.
Callahan expressed confidence in Edgren’s ability to guide the program through the transition, citing her familiarity with the team’s culture and her success as both a student-athlete and coach.
The move signals a new chapter for UWW gymnastics as it looks to build on its established legacy while navigating leadership change ahead of the 2027 season.
