Things are about to get very interesting when the class of 2027 becomes officially recruitment-eligible on June 15th. But then again, are things ever not interesting in college gymnastics? This week sees some exciting elite competition plus the continuing aftershocks of the coaching changes at Cal and Clemson.
Pan American Championships
Hezly Rivera (LSU, ‘26) leads a strong five-person team for the Pan American Gymnastics Championships in Panama City, Panama. Three other top recruits, Tiana Sumanasekera (UCLA, ‘25), Dulcy Caylor (Florida, ‘26), and Jayla Hang (Florida, ‘26), will also compete in the competition which takes place June 12-15.
Commitment Switches
- Adele Ossi switch from Clemson to Arizona State
- Quincy Walters, four-star, switched from Cal to Michigan full ride.

Class of 2025
- Caroline Saenz will continue her athletic and academic career at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She has a best event score of 9.525 on vault.
- Noella Marshall has committed to Alabama on a full ride. She took home a vault title at regionals this season en route to qualifying for her third nationals where she scored a personal best 9.875 on vault.
- Veanni Brown has committed to Gustavus Adolphus. She shows strong work on bars, which she has returned to competition following an ACL tear in late 2022 as well as a second ACL surgery in March last year.
- Naima Murray has committed to Greenville following the conclusion of her first level 10 season.
- Kyanna Crabb has committed to Oregon State. While she is technically a transfer–having been previously enrolled at Clark County College–this is her first commitment to an NCAA program. Crabb placed third in the all-around at nationals in the all-stars category.
- Myca Kelly and Mya Caines will continue their athletic and academic careers at Wilberforce.
- Addison Tandeski has committed to Bowling Green. She is a three-time nationals qualifier and shines particularly on beam with eye-catching acro skills and solid leaps.
- Savanna Dunwoody will bring solid scores across the board to Eastern Michigan following her commitment this week.
- Shae Magley will join the team at Air Force where she brings an all-around best of 37.800.
Class of 2026
- Three-star recruit Jolyn Sicat Valeros has found a home.. UCLA picked up the commitment of Sicat Valeros who is a four-time national qualifier and former junior elite.
- Whitney Torchia has committed to New Hampshire on a full ride. Her all-around high of 38.200 will make her a valuable addition to the Wild Cats.
- Sophia Friedson has committed to BYU on a full ride. She has an all-around high of 38.350 and is strong across all four events.
