2025 Recruit Ratings by the Numbers

The classes of 2025, 2026, and 2027 are loaded with standout talent. We’re breaking down key metrics and performance indicators to give you a deeper look at the future stars of college gymnastics. From the total number of rated gymnasts to which schools are bringing in the most rated recruits, there’s plenty to be excited about in this year’s group.

378 Total Rated Recruits

Following this year’s evaluations, 378 athletes across the three classes earned a rating. In the class of 2025, that includes 34 five-stars, 60 four-stars, and 78 three-stars. The class of 2026 features 28 five-stars, 43 four-stars, and 59 three-stars. Meanwhile, the class of 2027 enters the ratings with eight five-stars, 30 four-stars, and 38 three-stars.

233 Gymnasts Improved

One of the best parts of each cycle is seeing how gymnasts progress year-over-year. This time around, 58 previously unrated athletes received a star rating for the first time, including 27 new additions in the class of 2025 and 31 in the class of 2026.

Top States

Texas continues to dominate in ratings by state, with 67 rated recruits across the three classes. California lands in second with 38, followed by Florida with 26. Rounding out the top five are Ohio with 19 and Utah with 17 rated gymnasts.

International Recruits

The global growth of NCAA gymnastics remains strong, with 48 international athletes earning ratings this cycle. Canada once again leads the international contingent with 35 gymnasts. England follows with three, while Romania, Sweden, and Egypt each contribute two. France, Germany, Spain, and Türkiye are all represented by one gymnast apiece.

Top Clubs

Metroplex holds steady at the top of the club rankings with 14 rated gymnasts for the second year in a row. Olympus (12) and Brandy Johnson’s (10) round out the top three. Canada’s Wimgym breaks into the top five for the first time with nine rated recruits, tying with Gold Medal, WOGA, and World Champions Centre.

Colleges With the Most Rated Recruits

Oklahoma and UCLA lead the way this year with 11 rated recruits. Alabama, Denver, and Ohio State all follow closely behind with nine apiece.

3 Perfect Event Totals

Earning a perfect event score of 25 remains one of the toughest accomplishments in our system, so when it happens, it’s worth celebrating. Of the 11 perfect event totals this year, three gymnasts achieved perfection for the first time: Kennedy Cochran (2026, Alabama) on floor, Elizaveta Grebenkova (2027) on bars, and Reese Esponda (2027) on floor.
