Uncommitted Recruits to Watch in the Class of 2025

It’s that time of year! All eyes are on signing day for the class of 2025, and several three-star recruits have yet to announce their decision. Here’s who to look out for as the start of the signing period begins Wednesday.

Makenzie Grant

Grant could contribute to any school on all four events with her difficulty level and high amplitude across her skills. On vault, she is training a promising double-twisting Yurchenko, and on bars she is working a new toe-on pike half dismount. Her double layout on floor is impressive while the clean lines on her beam series would appeal to any beam coach. Overall, she’s a very strong pick for any school to snag.

Lydia Rak

Four words: side aerial back handspring. Her series would be a great addition to any beam lineup, alongside her Y full turn and her double-twisting dismount. She has great lines on bars, along with a floaty toe-on pike half dismount, and her vault is clean and unique (full-on pike!). Add in her beautiful two and a half on floor and she could definitely contribute to a few lineups.

Georgina Slack

  • CGN Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Club: Uttoxeter (England)
  • Recruit Profile

Slack could be a great pick for lineups on three events; bars could use some cleaner form and a bit more difficulty. Her upgraded Yurchenko one and a half is showing a lot of promise, and her triple series on beam is a big selling point. Her combination tumbling is strong, too, and she has some big skills, like a full-in and a front double full.

Miriam Harris

Harris has a HUGE Yurchenko one and half and a great straddled Jaeger to shootover on bars, but the real standout in her repertoire is her Onodi to back handspring to layout step-out triple series on beam. Her combination tumbling stands out for its difficulty, too, with a back one and a half to front full and front double full to punch front. All of the big skills are so flashy and tempting, but can she be consistent, too?

Cadence Gaumont

  • CGN Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Club: Desert Devils (AZ)
  • Recruit Profile

Gaumont is planning upgrades on all four events for the upcoming season. Her bar routine boasts a Maloney and a double layout dismount, both with great form, and her beam skills show a lot of amplitude. She has already been on a visit to San Jose State, where her double layout on floor would fit in the lineup nicely. We’ll see if the Spartans pick her up!

Becca Mitchell

Mitchell would be a good pick for a team looking for floor and someone with international experience, as she was selected to represent Denmark at the 2024 European championships. Her beautiful piked gainer off the end of the beam is another tick in her pros column.

Nika Kritski

  • CGN Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Club: Plymouth (England)
  • Recruit Profile

Kritski seems to be quite the trickster on bars; she has both a Ray and a Hindorff, and at one point seemed to be working a full-twisting double layout. She also comes with some international experience, having been picked to represent England at Northern Europeans this year. She would most definitely be a solid pick for any team looking to round out its roster for the 2026 season.

Deziray Boykin

Boykin looks to be on the comeback from a knee surgery that took her out of most of last year, but despite that she is looking strong going into next season. She is training a HUGE pike half on vault—a 10.0 start value that any school would love to have—and her triple series on beam, solid tumbling, and double front bar dismount puts her in a great position to contribute to all four events. You have to love a good comeback story.

Amy Robins

  • CGN Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Club: Rose City (Canada)
  • Recruit Profile

Robins also seems to be on the mend, with a recent knee surgery in August. Pre-injury she was working a Yurchenko one and a half and has really nice combination tumbling on floor. She also was a national bars medalist in 2022, so any school looking to add a bar worker should definitely be interested, especially considering the event would be the easiest for her to return to quickly given her injury.

Luiselena Rodriguez

Rodriguez is another strong all-arounder. She has beautiful extension on her beam leaps and a wolf double turn that adds some flair. Her Yurchenko full is solid, and she has beautiful toe-hand pirouette work on bars before her straddle Jaeger and dismount. Add in her front double full on floor and she would be a solid pick for any school looking to fill gaps in its lineups.
