Harris Dismissed from UCLA Gymnastics, Enters Transfer Portal
As confirmed by the Daily Bruin, former No. 1 recruit Selena Harris has been dismissed from the UCLA gymnastics team and has entered the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining. This past season, Harris earned regular-season and All-America honors and was the 2024 Pac-12 Gymnast of the Year.
Libby Resigns as Iowa Head Coach
After being placed on leave in March, Larissa Libby resigned as Iowa’s head coach. Libby had been the leader of the Hawkeyes for 20 years, but gymnasts raised concerns about the program’s environment under her leadership. Assistant coach Jessa Hansen Parker has been elevated to interim head coach while the school conducts a coaching search.

- Three former Lindenwood athletes have found their new homes as rising junior Allie Berkley is headed to Fisk, rising senior Hannah Appleget will be continuing her career at Central Michigan, and rising senior Trinity Caffey is headed to Texas Woman’s.
- Missouri picked up its second transfer of the offseason as Elise Tisler announced her transfer from Towson.
- Reyna Guggino, Jenna Mulligan, and Carly Bauman will be returning for their fifth year as Michigan Wolverines.
- The ACC has announced a new documentary titled “The Return of ACC Gymnastics” premiering May 27 featuring the inaugural season of ACC gymnastics 40 years after the previous conference championship.
- Kathy Johnson Clarke will join “Flipping Out with Bridget Sloan” as co-host of the podcast.
Training Updates
- Incoming Towson freshman Callie Gardner is training some tumbling upgrades, including a full-in off the air track and a double double off the tumble track.
- Rising N.C. State junior Madeline Reid is training a handful of upgrades, including full-twisting double layout bar dismount into the pit and a back handspring back handspring layout series on beam. She’s also teasing a three-pass floor routine for the 2025 season.
- Emmy Graff, incoming Utica freshman, is training a back handspring back handspring layout step-out series on beam.
- Rising Cal junior eMjae Frazier is teasing a front aerial to two feet on beam.
