Oklahoma’s Faith Torrez Wins Honda Award

Oklahoma senior and NCAA all-around champion Faith Torrez was named the 2026 recipient of the Honda Award for gymnastics. It marks the second consecutive year a Sooner gymnast has won the award, following Jordan Bowers last season.

During her career at Oklahoma, Torrez won three national team titles and, this season, became the fifth Sooner in program history to win the national all-around title. She was the only athlete in the country in 2026 to earn first-team All-America honors on all four events and in the all-around from the national championships.

“Winning the Honda Award for gymnastics in my final senior year is something I will hold close to my heart forever,” Torrez said.

The winner is selected by a vote of administrators from more than 1,000 member schools. The other nominees for gymnastics were Jordan Chiles, Kailin Chio, and Anna Roberts.
