Arkansas experienced both extremes last week, counting a fall on bars but also celebrating a historic moment as Morgan Price delivered the program’s first-ever perfect 10.000 with a stuck vault. Consistency on bars and beam has been elusive throughout the season, making refinement on those events especially important with marquee matchups against Oklahoma and LSU looming. Finding stability now could be key to building postseason momentum.
Missouri, meanwhile, closes out its home slate after posting a season-high 197.550 last week, highlighted by a 49.575 on floor. Beam anchor Addison Lawrence will be one to watch on senior day; she has scored 9.950 in five of eight routines this season and fallen only once. If she delivers another routine of that caliber, a perfect score could be within reach.
The meet will be streamed on SECN+, and scores can be found here.
Rotation 1: Missouri VT, Arkansas UB
Jackson (Missouri) VT: Big hop forward on y1.5, tidy form in the air. 9.775
Roberson (Arkansas) UB: Maloney to Pak just the slightest leg sep, has to take extra kip to finish last pirouette, slight piking in DLO and hop backwards. 9.675
Tanskanen (Missouri) VT: Front pike half, feet look planted at first but makes slight movement on right foot. 9.800
Klein (Arkansas) UB: Hindorf great toe point, last handstand strong, DLO slight piking as well but stick in place and chest up, nice. 9.875
Griffin (Missouri) VT: Usual flared yfull, controlled hop back. 9.800
King (Arkansas) UB: First ever college routine, feels crazy to say so late in the season. Big air on Tkatchev to Pak, nice toepoint throughout, DLO legs come apart in second flip and step back, the form is definitely there, as we knew. 9.825
Horton (Missouri) VT: Hop and small step forward but same tidy form in the air as Jackson on the y1.5. 9.875
Campbell (Arkansas) UB: Coming back after a fall last week, beautiful lines but some slight feet form on Tkatchev, slight leg sep on Pak, stalder straight to double back and a step back. 9.750
Tisler (Missouri) VT: Under rotated a bit on the Y1.5 and a step back, but big amplitude. 9.775
Cucci (Arkansas) UB: Pak to VL very clean, chest down on DLO squatted as well with a hop back, little to take before the dismount. 9.800
Echols (Missouri) VT: Usual power and amplitude on yfull, hop back. 9.875
Price (Arkansas) UB: Maloney to bail clean as usual, drills full-in, could be the first routine to go into the 9.9 range. Yep, 9.925
AFTER ONE: Arkansas 49.175, Missouri 49.125
Feels like some tight scoring this afternoon, particularly on vault. But it’s impacting both teams with the razor-thin separation between them. We’ll see how the next rotation goes with the nerves shaken out more. I was really impressed by King’s debut and hope we get to see her more, hopefully on beam as well.
Rotation 2: Arkansas VT, Missouri UB
Weaver (Arkansas) VT: Sticks but arm circle and a lean back forcing her to take a step. 9.800
Green (Missouri) UB: Maloney to Pak slight leg sep but good toepoint, great last handstand and a DLO, arm circle and chest down, has to hop forward. 9.850
Smith (Arkansas) VT: Yfull hop forward. 9.750
Macpherson (Missouri) UB: Big air on Tkatchev, bail good form throughout, full-in chest up and a hop back. 9.900, second score of the day in that range
Cucci (Arkansas) VT: Y1.5 hop forward, solid form in the air. 9.875
Kelly (Missouri) UB: Church to bail, stalder to double tuck and stuck, really nice. 9.875
Klein (Arkansas) VT: Massive y1.5 in the air but has to take a pretty big step back. 9.800
Terry (Missouri) UB: Gienger to bail, nice lines here as well, full-in and gets the stick. Ramping up the routines in the lineup. 9.925
Williams (Arkansas) VT: Sticks y1.5 with a slight…arm circle? Some kind of movement to catch her balance. See some form break in the second flip. 9.875
Horton (Missouri) UB: Maloney to Pak legs together and toe-point, stuck DLO again. 9.925
Price (Arkansas): No stick this week, small hop forward but very clean as usual. 9.925
Echols (Missouri) UB: Slightly over on bail, Khorkina no issues, DLO slight step back first non-stick of the lineup after the bail issue. 9.675
Roberson vault exhibition, half-on full twist off and sticks.
AFTER TWO: Missouri 98.600, Arkansas 98.375
Mizzou came with the senior day juice for that rotation, with five stuck landings and great form throughout for a season high. Arkansas didn’t have the sticks but put forth a clean-looking vault rotation that shows why it’s ranked what it is.
Rotation 3: Missouri BB, Arkansas FX
Wier (Missouri) BB: Front aerial to BHS LOSO no checks there, straddle to straddle half great 180 position, missed dismount due to camera angle but looked stuck gainer full. 9.875
Klein (Arkansas) FX: Double tuck controlled landing, straddle leaps to Shushnova dynamic amplitude and 180 positions. Front lay front full step forward. 9.825
Kelly (Missouri) BB: Front aerial breaks connection and slight check, goes for it again and into the BHS. Switch to split leaps good lines, wow these cameras keep cutting off the dismounts since they’re behind people! 9.650
Weaver (Arkansas) FX: Only her second time on floor this season, double back controlled, love her straddle form, back 1.5 front lay. 9.850
Macpherson (Missouri) BB: Tiny check on switch to split, love how she moves so quickly across the beam in her triple series, small hop forward on back 1.5. 9.900
Cucci (Arkansas) FX: DLO controlled lunge, front tuck through to double back controlled step again, love her music. 9.900
Tanskanen (Missouri) BB: BHS LOSO no hesitation, beat jump to straddle bit below 180 and a check, back 1.5 step forward. 9.825
Smith (Arkansas) FX: Front lay through to double tuck, straddles are 180, slide on last pass. 9.850
Jackson (Missouri) BB: Front aerial to BHS fluid connection, switch to split to beat with a slight check in the middle. Love her calm energy. Another missed dismount but we hear stick on gainer pike. 9.950
Williams (Arkansas) FX: Full-in huge air, back 1.5 to front full. I am a defender of this choreo. 9.925
Lawrence (Missouri) BB: Side aerial BHS, big check on leap combo, sticks back 1.5 to end. 9.800 is a little charitable
Roberson (Arkansas) FX: DLO controlled landing, front LOSO to double back sky high. 9.900
AFTER THREE: Missouri 147.950, Arkansas 147.800
Even with slightly elevated beam scoring, keeping things tight this afternoon. Really solid floor from Arkansas while Mizzou was a little more tentativel we’ll see if the Tigers pull out all the stops for floor.
Rotation 4: Arkansas BB, Missouri FX
Gustitus (Arkansas) BB: BHS LOSO no checks, switch leap to switch half slight check into the next leap, switch leap to gainer pike small hop. 9.775
Jackson (Missouri) FX: Double pike controlled lunge no front foot movement, ring leap series clean with amplitude, front tuck through to double tuck slide back this time. 9.875
Park (Arkansas) BB: Pretty BHS LOSO, clean throughout the rest until side aerial to 1.5 and a small hop back. 9.875
Tisler (Missouri) FX: FHS to front lay to rudi good control, back 1.5 front lay strong to end. 9.875, score of the rotation?
Klein (Arkansas) BB: Standing LOSO LOSO strong, tiny check on straddle, back 1.5 dismount steps forward. 9.850
Acevedo (Missouri) FX: Big double pike with a small foot slide, back 1.5 to front lay better control. Straddle to wolf jump nice, double tuck front foot planted. 9.875 again and we get boos.
Cucci (Arkansas) BB: BHS LOSO confident, front aerial same, stuck back 1.5, chest down. 9.925
Tanskanen (Missouri) FX: Nice air on full-in, “Your Obedient Servant” is an underrated Hamilton song for floor music. Back 1.5 front lay. 9.925
Weaver (Arkansas) BB: BHS LOSO, check, stuck 1.5 to finish off, looking clean for the most part in this back half of the lineup. 9.875
Horton (Missouri) FX: DLO foot movement, also underrated is the part of “Sticky” she’s using in her routine here, double pike no foot movement, should be massive. 9.925
Roberson (Arkansas) BB: Straddle jump to back tuck no issues, side aerial BHS. Front full dismount small hop forward. 9.900
Griffin (Missouri) FX: Big double pike foot shifts, better control on double pike to end, her passes are so huge up in the air.
FINAL: Missouri 197.425, Arkansas 197.225
Solid performances, but both teams will have felt like tenths were left on the table today, particularly in terms of landings. They did not announce why Morgan Price was suddenly absent from beam and floor on the broadcast, but that would be problematic going forward.
VT: Cucci, Echols, Horton, and Williams 9.875
UB: Horton, Terry, and M. Price 9.925
BB: Jackson 9.950
FX: Horton, Tanskanen, and Williams 9.925
AA: Cucci 39.500
