Recruiting Roundup

Recruiting Roundup: January 23rd

The level 10 season is officially underway, and throughout the year we’ll spotlight select meets from across the country while checking in on how some of the top recruits are performing. Four meets this week acted as Nastia Liukin Cup Qualifiers with the top all-around performer in both the junior and senior competition punching their tickets to the competition on March 7, 2026, in Henderson, Nev.

For more gymnastics-focused content, you can keep track of who has been where on their official visits by checking out our Recruiting Tracker.

Meet Previews

Black Diamond Winter Classic, Utah

In the level 10 world, this region has been one of the strongest in recent years. However, the competition looks different this year, with many of these athletes having gone off to college. One name that still stands out in the competition for the Nastia Liukin Cup place is five-star Oaklie Deputy (Ohio State, ‘26), but she could face competition from four-star Jazmyn Jimenez (Georgia, ‘26), four-star Kiari Sparks (LSU, ‘27), four-star Aaliyah Coleman (Ohio State, ‘27), and four-star Adelia May Occhipinti (Georgia, ‘27).

Texas Prime, Texas

Another meet expected to have fierce competition for the Nastia Liukin Cup place will take place in Texas. Some athletes expected to contend for this qualification are five-star Shea Orlando (Michigan, ‘26), four-star Jordyn Johnson (Michigan State, ‘26), four-star Emerson Gaa (Denver, ‘26), four-star Brooke Reingold (Auburn, ‘27), and four-star Camryn Shepard (Arkansas, ‘27).

Chellsie Classic, Wisconsin

While this meet may not have as many big-name gyms as the first two, some strong gymnasts are still expected to compete for the qualification spot. Among those athletes are four-star Myla Ruck (LSU, ‘27), four-star Olivia Choi (Washington, ‘26), and four-star Maddie Stewart (Stanford, ‘26).

Jaycie Phelps Midwest Showdown, Indiana

This qualifier has not released the names of the gyms competing, but this does not indicate that competition for the Nastia Liukin Cup spot will be any easier. We are eagerly anticipating seeing which gymnasts will compete!

Meet Results

Tampa Bay Turners, Florida.

With two competitors scoring 39+ and six competitors scoring 38.5+, this meet was an especially difficult one for gymnasts looking to qualify to the Nastia Liukin Cup. She also won the bars title with a career-high 9.950. Five-star Jada Oliver (LSU, ‘27) and Bianca Jackson (Rutgers, ‘26) shared the vault title with a score of 9.975, a career-high for them both. In this qualifying meet, four-star Ariana Frechette (Kentucky, ‘26) joined all the other qualifiers in setting a career-high all-around score of her own, a very strong 38.850.
