The Southeast Asian Games concluded last weekend with a number of gymnasts with NCAA connections competing. On the recruiting side, Haylee Garcia (‘27) won a silver on bars for the Philippines.
Class of 2026
- Emma Bazan, who qualified to her first nationals this season, as well as MaryKate Raines, a national qualifier last season, have committed to Simpson.
- The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater picked up three this week in this recruiting class; two-time national qualifiers Sophia D’Amato and Sosie Stewart will be joined by Mallory Rockey, a regional qualifier.
- Sophie Moon, a Canadian gymnast who also visited UW-La Crosse, has announced her commitment to Winona State.
- Ashlyn Perra, a level nine gymnast with plans to compete level 10 next season, has committed to Southern Connecticut.
- Nicole James, who had previously visited William & Mary, has committed to Ball State. She has an event high score of 9.525 on beam.
- Kendall Anderson, who is notably 100% blind in one eye, has committed to William & Mary.
Class of 2027
- Kaira Nguyen, a Pearland Elite gymnast, has committed to San Jose State on a full ride.
- Remi Fusilero, a solid all-around competitor, will become a Husky after committing on a full ride to Washington.
