Jade Carey celebrating after a routine

Oregon State’s Jade Carey Wins 2025 AAI Award

Oregon State senior Jade Carey has been named the winner of the 2025 AAI Award, an honor bestowed annually to the most outstanding senior gymnast in the nation. Selected from a field of 59 nominees and narrowed to six finalists, the award recognizes excellence in gymnastics, leadership, and academics.

Carey’s 2025 season was nothing short of dominant. The senior posted a staggering 39.925 all-around score and recorded four perfect 10.0s—three on floor and one on beam—cementing her reputation as the most reliable and dynamic all-arounder in collegiate gymnastics. She qualified for the NCAA national championships once again, bringing consistency, difficulty, and international-caliber execution to every routine.

Over her collegiate career, Carey amassed 117 individual event titles and completed two gym slams, showcasing her versatility across all four events. A three-time Honda Award finalist and the 2022 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, she has consistently set the bar for excellence at Oregon State, both as a competitor and as a leader.

Carey edged out an elite group of fellow finalists for the award: Jordan Bowers and Audrey Davis (Oklahoma), Aleah Finnegan (LSU), Grace McCallum (Utah), and Leanne Wong (Florida). Each gymnast brought unique accolades and accomplishments to the table, making the final decision a testament to Carey’s exceptional impact on the sport.

The AAI Award announcement comes ahead of the NCAA championships in Fort Worth, Texas, where Carey will look to close out her remarkable NCAA career on the highest stage.
