We’re back for the evening session of the GEC Championships, and this one is set to be a thriller!
Host team Penn will compete in its home arena, aiming to secure its fourth consecutive GEC title. The Quakers have been building momentum all season and are coming off their second-highest score of the year in a strong showing against West Virginia. Led by standouts Skyelar Kerico, Marissa Lassiter, and Jordan Barrow, Penn enters as the clear favorite—but the competition isn’t far behind.
Yale and Brown, ranked No. 55 and No. 56, are right on Penn’s heels. Both teams have put together strong seasons but have yet to break the 195 barrier. To challenge Penn, they’ll need to deliver complete performances, capitalizing on every detail and maximizing their scoring potential. With USAG Nationals just weeks away, this is the perfect time for both teams to refine their routines and build confidence.
Bridgeport rounds out the night session after edging past Cornell last weekend with a season-high performance. After several rebuilding years, the Purple Knights are peaking at the right time and will look to continue their upward trajectory heading into USAG Nationals.
The GEC title will be decided in just a few hours—follow along to see who takes the crown!

Another strong rotation for all teams. UPENN had a fall early in the rotation and avoided counting it with a strong remaining lineup, but the scores on beam were a bit interesting for what was shown- maybe some start value issues. Yale and Brown both had strong rotations on bars and vault, with mid 48+ scores. Bridgeport is continuing to build off of their first rotation with a much stronger second rotation on floor. At the halfway point Penn is leading by five tenths over Brown with Yale and Bridgeport close behind!

AFTER THREE: Yale 145.050, UPENN 146.525, Bridgeport 144.650, Brown 145.225
As of right now its going to be a race for second between Yale and Brown with UPENN having a heavy lead moving into the final rotation on an event where they have been strong! Yale had a strong beam rotation, again not having to count a fall in this rotation but with some lower 9.5s to give them a low 48. Brown had to count a fall on bars, but if they can come back on beam they will still be in this for a top three placement. Bridgeport got its first big score of the night with a 48.400 on vault, highlighted by a stuck Tsuk full from Staruk in the anchor spot! UPENN performed excellent on floor, but scored low, but needs somewhere in the 46-47 event total to clinch its third total which they are more than capable of.

Overall, the energy in the Palestra was electric and what a competition for this packed Saturday night!
