No gymnasts announced their commitments this week, so all eyes are on the level 10 season which is now in full swing. The Presidential Classic meet this weekend will see a huge amount of top talent in the two active recruiting classes competing, as well as athletes we are keeping an eye on in the class of 2027.
Meet Previews
Presidential Classic, Florida.
The Presidential Classic attracts around 3,000 competitors with a huge number of rated recruits on the published roster meaning competition among the level 10 athletes for a spot at the Nastia Liukin Cup will be fierce. Brandy Johnson’s is sending 23 level 10 gymnasts, with top scoring potential likely coming from the gyms four and five-star recruits including Sophia Estrada (Oklahoma, ’26), Jillian Fisher (Iowa State, ’25), Jocelyn Sasson (Florida, ’25), and Imani White (California, ’26). Olympus will also send a large contingent including seven rated recruits led by five-star Ava Jackson (Ohio State, ’25). Names of note from other gyms include Ava Cash (Penn State, ’25), Tori Hess (Arkansas, ’26) and five-stars Simone Brown (Clemson, ’25), Emerson Fisk (NC State, ’25), and Nina Ballou (LSU, ’25).
Rochester Classic, New York.
Over 120 level 10 athletes will be competing at this event, and there are many top gymnasts in the race for the senior Nastia Liukin Cup spot. Elyse Wenner (LSU, ‘25) holds a career high of 39.175 and is the sole five-star recruit. However, four-star recruits Paige Alexander (Ohio State, ‘26), Sutton Strasser (Georgia, ‘26), Sevana Kasparian (Denver, ‘25), and Jada Kim (Georgia, ‘26) could all prove to be tough competition. Raeya Linton (Stanford, ‘26) is another top gymnast competing, but she has already qualified to the Nastia Liukin Cup so is not in contention for the spot.
Charity Choice Invitational, Washington.
Many top gyms will be competing in Washington for the chance to qualify to the Nastia Liukin Cup including Ascend, Bold, and Gold Medal. Mackenzie Estep (Oklahoma, ‘25), Scarlett Sonnenberg (BYU, ‘25), Lillian Jennejohn (Ohio State, ‘25), and Molly Brinkman (Clemson, ‘25) are likely top competitors.
BIG Classic, Illinois.
The final meet this week which will see gymnasts qualify to the Nastia Liukin Cup is the ‘Galentines Party’ at the BIG Classic. There are no publicly published rosters but from the known gyms attending Cameron Tassone (UCLA, ’26) and Julia Rausa (Minnesota, ’26) look to be among the top competitors.
Meet Results
Long Beach Open, California.
Allison Cucci (Arkansas, ‘25) was the all-around winner of this meet, scoring 38.975. Cucci had previously qualified to the Nastia Liukin Cup, so the senior qualifier was Lacie Saltzmann (Minnesota, ‘25) who has switched from elite to level 10. Cucci won the vault title with a 9.900, Saltzmann won the bars title with a 9.825, Andie Buzanis (‘26) won the beam title with a 9.825, and Quincy Walters (California, ‘25) won the floor title with a 9.925, tying the 3rd highest score on that event in the country this season.
Denver Winterfest Classic, Colorado.
Audrey Snyder (Auburn, ‘26), another athlete who switched from elite to level 10 this season, also qualified to the Nastia Liukin Cup this weekend. In addition to winning the all-around, Snyder won the vault and beam titles. Her teammate Kylee Bromley (Arizona State, ‘25) won the bars title. Sydney Schultz (‘26) tied for the floor title.
River City Classic, Nebraska
After putting together a clean meet, Shea Orlando (Michigan, ’26) was the senior qualifier for the Nastia Liukin Cup with a 38.200 all-around score. On the way to winning she beat out the number one recruit in the class, Presley Duke (Oklahoma, ’26), who scored a 37.575 for second. Anna Pearl Stanley (North Carolina, ’25) placed third with a 36.975 while Nesia Bat Yehuda (Boise State, ’25) took the top scores on bars and beam.
Legacy Elite Classic, Illinois
Arianna Ostrum (Minnesota, ’25) took the senior spot with 38.050 followed closely by the already qualified Addison Sarisky with a 38.025. Maddie Stewart (Stanford, ’26) took home the vault title and Alexis Holmes (’27) placed third in the all-around and won the floor title with a 9.800.
Other Notable Results
- Ava Thurston (Ball State, ’25) won the Mardi Gras Invitational with 38.000 and a personal best 9.900 on Vault.
- Miriam Harris (Michigan State, ’25) won the all-around at the Glider’s Invitational.
