Colwell Named Head Coach at LIU
Central Michigan assistant coach Taylor Colwell was named head coach at LIU following Randy Lane’s departure. Colwell is a former Lindenwood gymnast who also spent time on the coaching staffs at her alma mater and SEMO.

- Oklahoma will be getting a new competition arena, to be shared with the school’s basketball programs, per a vote by the Norman City Council to move forward with plans for a new entertainment district on campus.
- LSU’s 2024 team members were given their SEC and national championship rings.
- UCLA junior Jordan Chiles took her appeal to be awarded the bronze medal in the Olympic floor final to the Swiss Supreme Court. A Washington Post analysis of video showed that her inquiry was timely submitted.
- Former La Crosse gymnast Keira Boetel joined the SEMO staff as an assistant coach.
- Boise State head coach Tina Bird received a contract extension through 2027.
- Temple head coach Hilary Steele gave birth to a baby girl.
- Former LSU gymnast April Burkholder will be inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.

- Utah freshman Avery Neff is training a Gienger to overshoot combination on bars.
- Iowa freshman Cassie Lee is training a tucked gainer full dismount on beam while juniors Hanna Castillo and Gianna Masella are training a double Arabian on floor and gainer pike beam dismount, respectively.
- Washington sophomore Chelsea Hallinan is training a front aerial to side aerial to front aerial one foot series on beam.
