Top Storylines
Randy Lane and Olivia Courtney Out as LIU Coaches
LIU head coach Randy Lane and assistant coach Olivia Courtney will not return to the Sharks staff for the 2025 season. Lane’s team has been highly scrutinized for multiple seasons due to high roster turnover, and most recently due to allegations of misconduct within the program.
JerQuavia Henderson to Rejoin Hawkeyes
Former Iowa gymnastics standout JerQuavia Henderson will return to the Hawkeyes for the 2025 season after not competing in 2024. Henderson has one year of eligibility remaining.
Other Newsworthy Items
- William & Mary assistant coach and former Ball State gymnast Brittney Emmons was named as Bowling Green’s new head coach. Emmonds met with the media and discussed her goals for the program in an introductory press conference.
- Former Temple gymnast India Anderson was named an assistant coach at George Washington. She was most recently an assistant coach at Fisk.
- Arizona State assistant coach and former Oregon State gymnast Lacy Dagen, as well as Stanford men’s gymnastics assistant coach Matt Freeman, were named assistant coaches at UCLA.
- LSU senior Aleah Finnegan and UCLA senior Emma Malabuyo taught at a clinic for young gymnasts in the Philippines.
- Former Arizona gymnast Shelby Martinez was named an assistant coach for her alma mater.

- LSU sophomore Konnor McClain is training bars basics after injuring her Achilles at the U.S. Classic in May.
- UCLA sophomore Sydney Barros is back training beam after missing the 2024 season due to injury.
- Oregon State senior Jade Carey is training a double layout dismount on bars.
- Florida sophomore Anya Pilgrim is training a full-in on floor.
- Stanford freshman Jaime Dugan is training a double layout on floor.
