LIVE BLOG: Gainesville Regional Round Two Session Two

The final two teams to make the Gainesville regional final will be decided tonight with No. 4 Florida and No. 13 Missouri being the top contenders. Florida will be favored with any semblance of a normal meet being at home. While a team like Georgia has the score ceiling to contend with Missouri for the second spot, the consistency has not been there with a rough meet as recently as the SEC championships. Iowa State was not expected to make it to the second round, and will be able to go into the meet with nothing to lose.

The conclusion of this session will give us all of the various individual qualifier scenarios and there are top contenders in this session. That stacked bars session from session one continues to session two with Lily Smith and Mara Titarsolej both scoring 10s this season. Clemson’s Molly Arnold has recently put up a 9.975 and will contend in that event along with the back half of that Missouri vault lineup. The vault spot will likely be determined by who sticks. If Sienna Schreiber does not qualify with her team or as an all arounder, a beam spot is a very real possibility.
