LIVE BLOG: No. 11 Denver, No. 46 New Hampshire, and No. 54 SEMO at No. 13 Missouri

Denver is the highest-ranked team in this meet, but there are reasons to like Missouri: The Pioneers are conventionally relatively weak on the road. Their road season high of 197.325 is easily surmountable by a Missouri team that you can rely on to catch fire on floor in the last rotation, so to avoid danger, Denver will have to bring its best. Both teams are a little streaky on beam, so watch those rotations closely.

New Hampshire should be able to handle SEMO, but there are some great individuals on both teams you won’t miss, like respective all around stars Kylie Gorgenyi and Lydia Webb.

Rotation 1: Missouri VT, Denver UB, SEMO BB, New Hampshire FX

Schreiber (Miz): FTY, nice straight body position, medium hop back.

This meet is going to be a bit of an ordeal. We’re streaming only from the arena ceiling camera with no commentary and no live scores. Looks like we’re primarily going to be moving between Mizzou and Denver with fragments of the other two teams in between. I’ll do my best to catch some of the other two, but between the camera being one thousand miles away and the lack of any supplemental materials, IDs will be tough.

Light (Miz): LONG wait and more amplitude than Schreiber with a similar hop.

Casali (DU): Maloney to bail, some bits of shape, airy DLO with a scoot back. Impossible to tell handstands from this angle, just as a heads up.

Rorich (DU): Catching the end. DLO, medium hop forward. That could have been Ulrich, there’s really no telling this zoomed out.

Davis (Miz): Nice open FTY, pace back.

Ingle (SEMO): Triple series, really nice, looked like her back foot was a bit off line.

Challman (UNH): Front double full pique arabesque, long step but pretty.

Griffin (Miz): In for Horton today, not sure why. FTY,

Celestine (Miz): One and a half, usual dynamics where the last half turn feels too late but always works out, stuck on her toes.

Hebinck (DU): Ricna to Pak, feet on the release and leg sep on the Pak. Slightly wild half pirouette, that high bar handstand looked short, DLO with foot form but nearly stuck.

Webb (SEMO): Cat leap to Liukin, works for it and gets it, full turn, switch split quarter good. Front aerial Korbut is wonky throughout but keeps it on the beam.

Moore (Miz): One and a half, flung out a little bit, big hop back.

Hutchinson (DU): Maloney to bail, great, DLO pretty and nearly stuck.

Speller (SEMO): Switch switch half, short, to beat. Nice Liukin, punch front full dismount.

Mundell (DU): Her usual, Tkachev, bail, DLO with maybe a little scoot.

Kuehn (SEMO): Check on her straddle half, double full slightly underrotated with leg sep and a hop.

After 1: Denver 49.550, Missouri 49.075, New Hampshire 49.075, SEMO 47.500

Not enjoying this stream at all. Will squeeze a couple more SEMO routines in during the rotation break since they’re obligingly posting them on Twitter.

Thought Missouri vault scoring was quite harsh, but particularly confused by the choice to score Moore higher than Celestine today.

Rotation 2: New Hampshire VT, Missouri UB, Denver BB, SEMO FX

Burns (Miz): Blind to Jaeger to overshoot, little foot flickers, fights for the last handstand, DLO absolutely planted.

Hamilton (SEMO): Tour jete full just a bit underrotated. Front lay front full really nicely controlled.

Patrick (Miz): Blind to Jaeger, a little close to the bar, bail, DLO with a tiny scoot. Little foot details on that.

Thompson (DU): Side aerial BHS, hips are nowhere near square and she pivots and falls.

Napolitano (SEMO): Two and a half front tuck, right up to the line and hops back. Round off double tuck, slides front foot.

Marshall (Miz): Blind to Jaeger to overshoot, tons of flight with slightly flat feet, highest FTDB ever with a tiny shuffle.

Crouch (SEMO): Rudi double stag, nice landing. Switch side wolf full, the straddle looked short of position to me. One and a half punch front full, mistimes the punch and sits.

Schreiber (Miz): Maloney to bail, not certain about that high bar handstand, planted DLO. Great landings on this event from Mizzou.

Ingle (SEMO): Two and a half punch front, toes right up to the line on the hop forward there, not sure if she saved it. Front lay to Rudi, substantially short with a hop forward and around. Switch half Popa.

Moore (Miz): Toe to Tkachev, feet, to overshoot. Aggressive handstands, FTDB with a tiny step.

We’re getting Amanda Hargraves’ beam exhibition after missing virtually the entire lineup. Nice! Solid routine with a pretty front to back series.

Titarsolej (Miz): Maloney to Pak, right on top of the half pirouette, blind full double tuck stuck-ish, just a heels together scoot.

Greene (SEMO): Front lay to Rudi, bouncy. Good double back.

After 2: Denver 98.900, Missouri 98.675, New Hampshire 97.900, SEMO 95.900

We literally did not see UNH that rotation. Really sorry UNH, I promise I don’t hate you.

Rotation 3: SEMO VT, UNH UB, Mizzou BB, Denver FX

Davis (Miz): Kickover front, lean. Beat to sheep is steady. Switch BHS gainer full, love the dynamics on that series and a stick.

Rorich (DU): Front through double back, slide on the double pike.

Griffin (Miz): Full turn. Nice front to back series, switch to standing switch to beat unsteady throughout but kept it moving. BHS one and a half, hop forward.

Brown (UNH): Bail, Markelov with feet, blind full double back and holds the stick for a second before taking a step.

Marshall (Miz): Front aerial, shift, BHS. Split double stag is steady. Kickover front, fall. BHS gainer full, scoot back.

DeVincenzo (UNH): Big leg sep on her Pak, DLO with flexed feet and a hop forward.

Ulrich (DU): Double lay, low chest and a long lunge.

Celestine (Miz): BHS front aerial, lean. Front tuck, check. Nervy after a fall. Hitch kick gainer full, scoot.

Gorgenyi (UNH): Toe to Maloney to bail, neat and precise, FTDB hop forward.

Schreiber (Miz): Full turn, BHS LOSO perfectly in line. Switch half to split nice and high. Beat to split 3/4. Cat leap gainer full, deep but stuck.

Kalise Newson in the exhibition is great depth news for SEMO.

After 3:

Rotation 4: Denver VT, SEMO UB, UNH BB, Mizzou FX

Schreiber (Miz): Front lay front full is perfectly controlled, Rudi to layout great.

Hargraves (DU): FTY, twists late with some leg sep, hop back.

Kratzer (Miz): Whip through double back, really solid, looks like she has a bit too much gas on the double pike but slams the back foot down and doesn’t move. Combo pass is pretty and airy.

Hamilton (SEMO): Really nice Gienger, nearly laid out, very very close to the bar on her FTDB with a substantial hop forward.

Light (Miz): Two and a half punch front, the punch travels forward a lot but control is fine. Switch side wolf full, double pike short and steps forward.

Webb (SEMO): Blind full, pretty with good extension, to double back stuck.

Celestine (Miz): Full in, great control. Nice air on the front full front lay, maybe a little bit of extra gas there. , double back solid. 9.925 which is hilarious because they flashed a 10 graphic on all the arena screens.

Ingle (SEMO): Jaeger to overshoot, lovely extension, short on a handstand, blind full double back step back.

Griffin (Miz): Front through double back is beautiful. Double pike, great control. There’s such a flowy quality to her tumbling.

Mabanta in the ex for Denver after once again missing basically the whole lineup. FTY deep but stuck.

Moore (Miz): Nice on the double lay, switch side Popa Popa with immaculate control, love a lunge out of a leap pass. Double back, slightly overrotated.

FINAL: Denver 197.625, Missouri 197.375, New Hampshire 195.250, SEMO 193.150
