Leotard Rankings: Week 3

When the college gymnastics season rolls around, some fans are excited for perfect 10s while others look forward to difficult skills and fun choreography. But we’re not going to lie. While those things are great, we love the leos most of all. And so, we’re back for another season of leotard rankings!

Each week we’re analyzing new designs to find our weekly faves. As always, leos can earn up to three points for design, up to one point each for fabric, sparkle, school spirit, and uniqueness, and up to three points for overall appearance. This week Mariah, Lela, Izzi, and Tara are joining editor-in-chief Elizabeth for judging. And, reminder that each season we save all the NCGA and USAG new team leos to judge together at the end of each division’s respective postseason, so be on the lookout for our thoughts on those then!

Don’t agree with our ranking? Make your opinion heard by voting in the fan poll at the end of the article each week or by voicing your thoughts on social media!

Design 2.5/3, Fabric 0.7/1, Sparkle 0.7/1, School Spirit 1.0/1, Uniqueness 1.0/1, Overall Appearance 2.7/3

This is superb. I love the Northern Lights concept and design, and I’m glad the rest of the leo is relatively simple to let that part really shine. The back is also cool without going overboard, and I like the subtle school spirit in the mesh claw marks on the sleeves for Seawolves. A great concept with good execution!

Design 2.1/3, Fabric 0.7/1, Sparkle 0.6/1, School Spirit 1.0/1, Uniqueness 1.0/1, Overall Appearance 2.2/3

As a lover of all skyline and mountain range leos, I am totally on board with this concept. Overall it’s beautiful and such a creative incorporation of school spirit, but I really dislike the way the design cuts off at the shoulder seams. It’s a small detail, but it keeps it from being absolutely perfect for me. I love the sparkle design and Seawolves on the back. If I was an Alaska gymnast, I would want to wear this for every competition.

Lela: 9.700

Design 3.0/3, Fabric 0.8/1, Sparkle .9/1, School Spirit 1.0/1, Uniqueness 1.0/1, Overall Appearance 3.0/3

This is my favorite leo ever. I said what I said. The Northern Lights inset balances beautifully with the black “night sky” of the rest of the leo, the sparkles perfectly give off the impression of stars, and I love the gold straps on black on the back. I would have liked full mesh sleeves, but I get why the claw marks are there. It’s completely Alaska, and it’s completely beautiful. Please make this into a sweatshirt and sell it, Seawolves.

Izzi Baskin illustrated headshotIzzi: 8.000

Design 2.0/3, Fabric 1/1, Sparkle 1/1, School Spirit 1/1, Uniqueness 1/1, Overall Appearance 2.0/3

I love the concept of this so much, but the execution misses the mark. I wish they had just done a simple black bottom with the northern lights design on top. The combo of the deep V, back straps, and horizontal back stripe all distract from the Northern Lights design too much for me.

Tara Graeve Illustrated HeadshotTara: 7.400

Design 2.2/3, Fabric 0.7/1, Sparkle 0.7/1, School Spirit 0.8/1, Uniqueness 0.8/1, Overall Appearance 2.2/3

I love the Northern Lights concept. The front is the star of the show and the rest pairs nicely with it. I don’t love the width and depth of the front V, but it’s not bad either. The back might be my favorite part!

West Virginia: 8.00

Design 2.2/3, Fabric 0.8/1, Sparkle 0.7/1, School Spirit 0.9/1, Uniqueness 0.7/1, Overall Appearance 2.2/3

I liked the previous version of this design, and I think I like this updated version even more. The ribbed fabric is one of my faves, and I think the muted colors underneath make the ombre and the WV pop. The back is also strappy and cool without going overboard.

Mariah Dawson illustrated headshotMariah: 8.100

Design 2.6/3, Fabric 0.9/1, Sparkle 0.6/1, School Spirit 0.9/1, Uniqueness 0.7/1, Overall Appearance 2.4/3

I liked the original version of this design, so it’s no surprise I like this one too. It looks like the fabric is ribbed which I support, and the ombre is gorgeous. It’s not an overly unique or intricate design, but if I were an athlete, this is exactly the type of leotard I would want to compete in.

Lela: 7.700

Design 2.3/3, Fabric 0.6/1, Sparkle 0.8/1, School Spirit 0.9/1, Uniqueness 0.8/1, Overall Appearance 2.3/3

Love the ombre and the sparkly stripes on the front, and the school logo is really well done and well placed, front and back. My only quibble is that the back straps look a little like an unlaced shoe. Remove a couple and I think it would look a bit more streamlined.

Izzi Baskin illustrated headshotIzzi: 8.600

Design 2.6/3, Fabric 1/1, Sparkle 0.8/1, School Spirit 0.8/1, Uniqueness 0.8/1, Overall Appearance 2.6/3

I love the asymmetrical belt and combination of the vertical rhinestone stripes and ombre fabric. I remain opposed to the excessive back straps, but at least these mirror the belt lines.

Tara Graeve Illustrated HeadshotTara: 8.200

Design 2.6/3, Fabric 0.8/1, Sparkle 0.8/1, School Spirit 0.8/1, Uniqueness 0.6/1, Overall Appearance 2.6/3

I know this is a rework of one of its old leos, but it’s a good one! It’s hard to outdo the original, yet West Virginia managed to improve on it. Many of the same things can be said as the original—the body ombre is gorgeous, it has a good amount of sparkle, and the belt works well. However, what takes this one to another level is the strappy back.

Ohio State: 7.600

Design 2.2/3, Fabric 0.7/1, Sparkle 0.7/1, School Spirit 0.6/1, Uniqueness 0.9/1, Overall Appearance 2.2/3

This is pretty good! Normally I don’t like designs this elaborate, but I think it works, especially with the amount of silver accents used. The rhinestones and the darker red fabric really popped on TV. I may have preferred a bit more silver to accent, but overall this is a good one from Ohio State.

Mariah Dawson illustrated headshotMariah: 8.200

Design 2.6/3, Fabric 0.8/1, Sparkle 0.8/1, School Spirit 0.5/1, Uniqueness 0.9/1, Overall Appearance 2.6/3

I love this! At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about the monochrome look, but with a design this elaborate, I think it actually works quite well. Even the notched collar doesn’t bother me because I think it looks cohesive with the design. Overall this is a really well-done look for the Buckeyes.

Lela: 8.000

Design 2.5/3, Fabric 0.8/1, Sparkle 0.8/1, School Spirit 0.5/1, Uniqueness 0.9/1, Overall Appearance 2.5/3

This one is awesome. I adore the mix of metallic fabric on matte, plus the added sparkles to make the flame shapes (I know it’s a chandelier, but it’s giving flames). I love the strappy back. If I have a complaint, it’s that it’s not giving quite enough O-H-I-O, but they get major props for creativity and working with a theme here.

Izzi Baskin illustrated headshotIzzi: 7.900

Design 1.9/3, Fabric 1/1, Sparkle 1/1, School Spirit 0.7/1, Uniqueness 0.7/1, Overall Appearance 2.6/3

This is so close to being a leo I love, but there’s just a little too much going on. I love the darker red color, but I don’t like the design it creates—some simpler piping would be perfect for me. As usual, the back straps are superfluous, and that is a hill I am willing to die on. I will admit that it looked great in motion, at least on TV.

Design 2.4/3, Fabric 0.5/1, Sparkle 0.8/1, School Spirit 0.8/1, Uniqueness 0.7/1, Overall Appearance 1.5/3

Design 2.4/3, Fabric 0.7/1, Sparkle 0.8/1, School Spirit 0.8/1, Uniqueness 0.8/1, Overall Appearance 2.6/3

I actually really like this! I love the random criss-cross design, especially with the use of rhinestones on top to make them pop. I also love the ombre and the way the mesh is used in a way that makes sense. A lot of Georgia’s recent new leos have been pretty blah, but this is a good one!

Mariah Dawson illustrated headshotMariah: 5.800

Design 1.4/3, Fabric 0.5/1, Sparkle 0.7/1, School Spirit 0.7/1, Uniqueness 0.8/1, Overall Appearance 1.7/3

I think I’m in the minority on this, but I’m not a fan of this one. The reds don’t seem to match and the sparkle design just doesn’t make much sense to me. I also wish the Georgia on the chest stood out more. I don’t tend to like higher collars but I don’t mind it here, and I like the ombre sleeves. I’m just not a fan of everything else.

Lela: 7.700

Design 2.3/3, Fabric 0.5/1, Sparkle 0.8/1, School Spirit 0.8/1, Uniqueness 0.8/1, Overall Appearance 2.5/3

The geometric lines on this one really pop. I love the ombre effect of the top that extends down the sleeves. I’m normally not a fan of collars, especially collars with rhinestones, but this one works somehow. My only real quibble is that the red background of the sparkly part and the solid red on the bottom don’t match, but this is very striking.

Izzi Baskin illustrated headshotIzzi: 8.000

Design 2.2/3, Fabric 0.5/1, Sparkle 0.9/1, School Spirit 1/1, Uniqueness 0.9/1, Overall Appearance 2.5/3

Georgia decided to go out on a limb with this one, and I think it paid off. I generally like a bold school name across the chest, but there’s something off about how it meshes with the rest of the design here. The lighter (mesh?) stomach band creates too many different shades of red for one leo. The ombre sleeves, however, are perfect.

Tara Graeve Illustrated HeadshotTara: 7.900

Design 2.5/3, Fabric 0.7/1, Sparkle 0.7/1, School Spirit 0.8/1, Uniqueness 0.8/1, Overall Appearance 2.4/3

Hello, Georgia! I love how the geometric lines frame the “Georgia” on the chest. It has a nice balance of red to black, and the ombre sleeves are great, too.

Design 1.7/3, Fabric 0.7/1, Sparkle 0.6/1, School Spirit 0.8/1, Uniqueness 0.7/1, Overall Appearance 1.8/3

I like this as a concept: athletic throwback but with a bit of pizzazz. I’ve also decided I really like the ribbed body fabric a lot of teams have been doing lately. I imagine it’s super comfortable. This leo overall is good but not perfection, which isn’t anything to be mad about. Sometimes you need a solid addition to the closet.

Mariah Dawson illustrated headshotMariah: 6.500

Design 1.7/3, Fabric 0.8/1, Sparkle 0.6/1, School Spirit 0.8/1, Uniqueness 0.7/1, Overall Appearance 1.9/3

This is a really solid look! I don’t love printed mesh, so the stripes on the sleeves aren’t my favorite, but that’s me being really picky. In the video, the body fabric looks ribbed which seems like it would be very comfortable to wear.

Lela: 7.900

Design 2.5/3, Fabric 0.8/1, Sparkle 0.8/1, School Spirit 0.9/1, Uniqueness 0.5/1, Overall Appearance 2.4/3

I love an old-school sporty leo, and I love green; I don’t see the two combined often enough. This is a big winner for me. I wish the chevron stripes were carried over to the back (and maybe on the arms as well for continuity’s sake). I think they’re really flattering on the body. and there’s just enough sparkle to remind you that it’s 2024, not 1974. A solid contender.

Izzi Baskin illustrated headshotIzzi: 8.300

Design 2.6/3, Fabric 0.8/1, Sparkle 1/1, School Spirit 1/1, Uniqueness 0.3/1, Overall Appearance 2.6/3

I love this simple sporty vibe. It’s a great example of how simple doesn’t mean boring. I love that they didn’t overdo the back with tons of straps or holes. The only thing I’m not wild about is the stripes on the mesh arms—pattern on mesh ends up just looking faded to me.

Tara Graeve Illustrated HeadshotTara: 6.000

Design 1.7/3, Fabric 0.6/1, Sparkle 0.6/1, School Spirit 0.8/1, Uniqueness 0.7/1, Overall Appearance 1.6/3

I love the ombre and the sparkly “E” and “Eagles” on the front and back. I appreciate the sporty look, but it’s not quite hitting for me. Maybe if the lines were slightly closer together on the arms or if there were groupings of two instead of three?

Design 2.0/3, Fabric 0.7/1, Sparkle 0.7/1, School Spirit 0.7/1, Uniqueness 0.5/1, Overall Appearance 2.0/3

This is good! I like how it’s simple but still stands out. The front design is flattering, and I like the use of colored rhinestones. I’m also glad they made the sleeves mesh. Having them solid would have been a bit one-note.

Mariah Dawson illustrated headshotMariah: 6.900

Design 2.3/3, Fabric 0.6/1, Sparkle 0.6/1, School Spirit 0.7/1, Uniqueness 0.6/1, Overall Appearance 2.1/3

This is really nice! It’s nothing too unique, but there’s not a single aspect of it that I dislike. In particular, I like the sparkly stripe pattern on the shoulders and the open back. I love a black leotard with colored rhinestones and this one doesn’t disappoint.

Lela: 6.700

Design 2.1/3, Fabric 0.5/1, Sparkle0 .7/1, School Spirit 0.7/1, Uniqueness 0.6/1, Overall Appearance 2.1/3

I love the diamond pattern and the use of red rhinestones against the black—both the colors and the design really pop. I also love the open back. I do wonder why the belt gets cut off by the circle in the back; did they cut the hole too big or run out of red fabric? Aside from that, overall this makes me happy.

Izzi Baskin illustrated headshotIzzi: 5.500

Design 1.4/3, Fabric 0.7/1, Sparkle 0.5/1, School Spirit 0.6/1, Uniqueness 0.3/1, Overall Appearance 2.0/3

This feels like a simple design gone awry. The criss-cross sparkle pattern on the front is lovely, so why did they cut it off in favor of the vertical stripes? The open back feels unnecessary as it doesn’t exactly match the lines on the front, and the way it cuts off the red belt annoys me.

Tara Graeve Illustrated HeadshotTara: 6.900

Design 2.2/3, Fabric 0.7/1, Sparkle 0.7/1, School Spirit 0.7/1, Uniqueness 0.6/1, Overall Appearance 2.0/3

I like this! The crossed diagonal sparkle pattern is one of my favorite standard patterns, and that’s no different here. I also love the pops of red against the black bodice. The back isn’t amazing, but adding “Redhawks” is a nice touch.

Western Michigan: 5.500

Design 1.8/3, Fabric 0.7/1, Sparkle 0.7/1, School Spirit 0.6/1, Uniqueness 0.6/1, Overall Appearance 2.0/3

I think I like this! The stock design isn’t my favorite—mostly because of the chest stripes and weird mesh placement on the body, but the white is working with the brown for Western Michigan. I love how the Broncos are leaning into brown more (in a way that isn’t ugly).

Mariah Dawson illustrated headshotMariah: 5.800

Design 1.6/3, Fabric 0.8/1, Sparkle 0.5/1, School Spirit 0.5/1, Uniqueness 0.6/1, Overall Appearance 1.8/3

I love a matte white leo, and the brown ombre actually looks really nice. Western Michigan has tough school colors to work with, so this is pretty solid. That being said, I don’t love this stock design. There’s just not enough fabric crisscrossing in the front for my taste, and where the brown meets the white on the back looks a bit disjointed. I don’t hate it by any means, but it’s not my favorite.

Lela: 4.400

Design 1.2/3, Fabric 0.3/1, Sparkle 0.4/1, School Spirit 0.6/1, Uniqueness 0.7/1, Overall Appearance 1.2/3

This one’s giving awkward wrap bikini top plus uneven spray tan. It just looks very stark, especially where that too-dark brown mesh meets the sleeve. I think there’s a way to work with these admittedly difficult colors without…this. It’s a no from me.

Izzi Baskin illustrated headshotIzzi: 4.100

Design 1.5/3, Fabric 0.8/1, Sparkle 0.4/1, School Spirit 0.3/1, Uniqueness 0.1/1, Overall Appearance 1.0/3

This stock design does not do it for me. Theoretically I like the wrap look, but it feels a little claustrophobic around the neck somehow? It seems like someone stumbled upon extra white fabric and wrapped the gymnast in it.

Tara Graeve Illustrated HeadshotTara: 6.700

Design 2.1/3, Fabric 0.7/1, Sparkle 0.7/1, School Spirit 0.7/1, Uniqueness 0.5/1, Overall Appearance 2.0/3

Western Michigan’s colors are notoriously hard to work with, and it’s done a great job at navigating them lately! Pairing the brown with a mostly white body was a great decision. The front is gorgeous with the strappy fabric and rhinestones. Plus, I love the ombre sleeves. The back isn’t my favorite, but it does its job.

Design 1.3/3, Fabric 0.6/1, Sparkle 0.4/1, School Spirit 0.5/1, Uniqueness 0.3/1, Overall Appearance 1.5/3

After last week’s great design, this one falls pretty flat. I kind of wish instead of four or five average designs a season, teams would put a lot of care and attention into two to three superb ones. This one is just so boring and so very Florida. The only thing I really like about it is the single strap on the open back.

Mariah Dawson illustrated headshotMariah: 6.300

Design 2.1/3, Fabric 0.8/1, Sparkle 0.5/1, School Spirit 0.4/1, Uniqueness 0.5/1, Overall Appearance 2.0/3

I’ll give it to Florida, it certainly has a distinct leo style that is easily recognizable. I don’t think this design is bad, it just looks like a lot of other Florida leos, except more boring. On a positive note, I do really like the shade of blue used, the back design, and the use of different sized sparkles.

Lela: 4.000

Design 1.4/3, Fabric 0.5/1, Sparkle 0.3/1, School Spirit 0.2/1, Uniqueness 0.2/1, Overall Appearance 1.4/3

This one is simultaneously nondescript and totally Florida. The Gators have a long history of pretending their colors are blush and bashful black and blue, instead of blue and orange; this leo perpetuates the myth. It’s kind of calling back last week’s rainbow trim but in a much less inspired way. Even the sparkles look like they’re doing the least work possible. “Fine, we’ll make firework shapes.” The only bit of creativity I see is the blue strap up the back, which looks cool.

Izzi Baskin illustrated headshotIzzi: 7.900

Design 2.3/3, Fabric 1/1, Sparkle 1/1, School Spirit 0.2/1, Uniqueness 0.9/1, Overall Appearance 2.5/3

I have a feeling I’m going to be in the minority here, but I actually enjoyed this leo. Sylvia P Florida leos have rarely missed for me. My favorite part is the fireworks-style asymmetrical rhinestones. I also love the inverted V-neckline. Without the extra straps across the neck and back, I think this leo could be among my favorites.

Tara Graeve Illustrated HeadshotTara: 4.400

Design 1.2/3, Fabric 0.5/1, Sparkle 0.4/1, School Spirit 0.6/1, Uniqueness 0.5/1, Overall Appearance 1.2/3

I don’t even know where to start with this one. I’m not vibing with the “black with a little bit of blue” look, and the chest hole may be one of the more unflattering ones I’ve seen. Even the singular strap down the open back isn’t doing it for me. It feels…somewhat incomplete?

Design 1.5/3, Fabric 0.3/1, Sparkle 0.3/1, School Spirit 0.5/1, Uniqueness 0.8/1, Overall Appearance 1.5/3

My first thought was, “Wow, that white mystique is very 2000s.” This isn’t bad, but I don’t really like it either. It’s way too shiny without using many actual rhinestones. It’s just a LOT.

Mariah Dawson illustrated headshotMariah: 4.900

Design 1.6/3, Fabric 0.5/1, Sparkle 0.4/1, School Spirit 0.2/1, Uniqueness 0.6/1, Overall Appearance 1.6/3

The fabric choice here is certainly unique compared to today’s trends, but I’m not a fan. Nothing about this leotard screams ‘Denver’ in any way, shape, or form. I think it’s supposed to be a blackout leotard, but the majority is silver, so I have questions on that. The overall design is inoffensive and the sparkle design, although heavily obscured by the holographic mystique, is actually quite delicate and nice, but it’s still a no from me.

Lela: 3.700

Design 1.4/3, Fabric 0/2/1, Sparkle 0.3/1, School Spirit 0.1/1, Uniqueness 0.5/1, Overall Appearance 1.2/3

This is giving both circus ringmaster and “watching the 2000 Olympics.” What it is NOT giving is Denver. I would never guess whose leo this is, so that’s a black mark. I do like the dripping effect of the sparkles at the waist, though.

Izzi Baskin illustrated headshotIzzi: 4.300

Design 1.0/3, Fabric 0.7/1, Sparkle 0.7/1, School Spirit 0.1/1, Uniqueness 0.3/1, Overall Appearance 1.5/3

I actually think this had potential. The simple shape and bold fabric choice works well for me. What is not working is the black diamond on the chest. I’ve stared at it for many minutes now, and I just can’t imagine looking at that leo and thinking, “You know what’s missing? A chest cutout.”

Tara Graeve Illustrated HeadshotTara: 7.900

Design 2.5/3, Fabric 0.7/1, Sparkle 0.8/1, School Spirit 0.7/1, Uniqueness 0.7/1, Overall Appearance 2.5/3

I’ll admit, I didn’t love this when I saw the teaser video. That changed when I saw it in person. It’s well balanced, the ombre on the arms is nice, and it has a nice shimmer thanks to the combination of rhinestones and fabric. I was concerned in the teaser that there wouldn’t be any school spirit since there’s no color to do the work in that department, but the added “Denver” on the hip is a nice touch. I’m still not sure why an advertised black leo is, like, half black at the most, but the shimmery silver balances it well.

Design 1.5/3, Fabric 0.5/1, Sparkle 0.5/1, School Spirit 0.5/1, Uniqueness 0.2/1, Overall Appearance 1.5/3

This is only Simpson’s second “actually” new leo since it got a couple from Denver for last season. It’s obviously very simple, but it’s not bad. There seems to be some sort of texture on the sleeve fabric that I can’t quite figure out, but overall it’s a fine leo for the team.

Mariah Dawson illustrated headshotMariah: 4.900

Design 1.7/3, Fabric 0.5/1, Sparkle 0.3/1, School Spirit 0.5/1, Uniqueness 0.4/1, Overall Appearance 1.5/3

This is obviously a very simple design, but I think the keyhole and the school logo on the back is a nice touch. Although this is not a unique look, it doesn’t look anything like Simpson’s other leos, so I gave it some points for that. The only part I don’t really like is the sleeves/upper chest. I wish the fabric was different (maybe mesh?) and the neckline was cut a bit lower. It looks a bit high and restrictive, especially in such an opaque fabric.

Lela: 3.000

Design 1/3, Fabric 0.2/1, Sparkle 0.2/1, School Spirit 0.5/1, Uniqueness 0.1/1, Overall Appearance 1/3

This one’s giving me ’90s prom dress vibes with the neckline on the red part–which, like a lot of ’90s prom dresses, has some fit issues in the armpits. The sleeves look like they are made out of that “wet look” fabric, and I don’t think they go with the red material. I do like the style of the back keyhole and the school logo, but overall this one’s a miss for me.

Design 2.0/3, Fabric 0.2/1, Sparkle 0.2/1, School Spirit 0.3/1, Uniqueness 0.1/1, Overall Appearance 0.8/3

Oh dear. The simple sweetheart concept is perfectly fine, but the harsh contrast of the solid colors, high neck, and shiny fabric feels very outdated to me.

Sometimes, simple is better. It’s nothing super revolutionary, but it’s quietly a very solid leo. The balance of red and black is nice, and the sweetheart neckline elevates it.

No thank you. This looks like either lingerie or some sort of bondage outfit. I really don’t like the incredible amount of mesh (normally this doesn’t bother me!) or how the design almost brings the focus to the upper chest? I also wish there was some sort of orange, maybe with the rhinestones. To improve this overall, I would have kept the purple base and piping, done white matte instead of the mesh, and added orange rhinestones.

I’ll start by saying that there are things I like about this leo. I like the sparkly stripe design on the sleeves as well as the tiger paw, and the incorporation of the ACC logo. It’s also admittedly a unique design I haven’t seen before. Even the back I feel pretty neutral about. However, the rest of it is a choice, and not a good one. I’m not usually a hater of mesh, but this is entirely too much mesh to the point where the athletes just look a bit exposed, something that is not helped by the sparkly bra design. High collars are an automatic no from me and I don’t like the graph paper piping design either. Why, y’all. Just why?

Lela: 3.900

Design 1.0/3, Fabric 0.2/1, Sparkle 0.4/1, School Spirit 0.5/1, Uniqueness 0.8/1, Overall Appearance 1.0/3

As I said in a Reddit thread that was ripping apart this leo’s “appropriateness,” it’s ugly. It’s not inappropriate. That said, I’m not sure Showgirls is the place we need to get our ’90s out. This is so much mesh that your eye ends up focusing on the sparkly bra. Aspects of this design could work, but the whole thing is too much, and the full-on purple makes me think LSU, not Clemson.

This feels like it was designed for some vaguely sexy dance on a gymnastics/figure skating tour. The stripes somehow give both dominatrix and “help, I’m trapped inside my graph paper!” while the sparkly bra reminds me of the episode of Dance Moms where they pretended to be Vegas showgirls.

This design could be good. The open back is nice, and I like the geometric pattern. What’s not it is how much of this leo is mesh. There’s lots of mesh, and then there’s this. It’s unflattering.
