It’s year three with Gymlytics fantasy college gymnastics in 2024! We all learned lessons when GymChem took up the helm and created her revamped game, and we’re ready for a fun 2024.
Our weekly cadence will continue to match Gymlytics: The fantasy “week” begins with Friday meets, ends with any Thursday ones and trading happens every Monday via waiver wire. You’ll find us here every Wednesday talking about “next week,” meaning the fantasy week starting that Friday.
This is your one-stop-shop for all things fantasy each week. We’ll be tracking injuries, byes ,and double headers, and giving you tips and tricks to put forward your best possible team.
We’re back! Gymnastics is back! Opening up Gymlytics to find your team feels a little bit like Christmas morning or the last night of Hanukkah, no? What a joy. Now you have your team, so here are our suggestions for how to dip your toes into season.

Experts Say
Each week, CGN editors will weigh in on big fantasy topics. We’ll feature them here, so you know how we’re addressing tough issues on our own teams.
This week, we asked our editors to rank top freshmen based on who they believe will have the best week one debut. Editors were asked to rank the following freshmen based on the number of events they believe the gymnast will contribute as well as score potential during week one. Thirteen CGN editors participated in the poll.
No. 1 – Lily Smith (Georgia)
No. 2 – Hannah Scheible (Oklahoma)
No. 3 – Konnor McClain (LSU)
No. 4 – Chloe LaCoursiere (Alabama)
No. 5 – Julianne Huff (Auburn)
Data Corner
This year we have data editor Dara once again joining us for Fantasy Central each week. She’ll be breaking down the numbers for you with notes on routine hit rate, lineup appearance frequency and breakout performances to keep an eye on.
Dara will be back in 2024 with data points to help you make decisions week to week. Have a data-specific question? Let us know in the comments or on social media and we will do our best to answer it in the following week’s Fantasy Central!
Starts and Sits for Week 0
This is the spot to find your sleeper picks, your two- or three-eventers, and your solutions for those big bye weeks. We’ll also comment on the big names when relevant: injuries, lineup absences, or inconsistency.
Vault: Oklahoma’s Ragan Smith competed her upgraded Yurchenko one and a half at the Sooners’ December intrasquad. Illinois’ Abby Mueller and Makayla Green also showed the upgraded vault during the preseason.
Bars: Boise State freshman Mahleea Werline had a solid showing on bars at the Broncos’ intrasquad. JaFree Scott has an upgraded bar routine and is looking stronger than ever on the event. She should score well this season.
Beam: Western Michigan’s Amanda Gruber looks poised to pick up where she left off for the Broncos, with a huge 9.950 at the Michigan preview quad. Simone Dumas-Guzman looks to be a staple here for Sacramento State after only competing the event a few times last year.
Floor: Carly Bauman competed floor at Michigan’s preview quad, scoring a 9.900. Sooner Danielle Sievers was in a boot for part of preseason but has been shown on floor on social media in late December. It’s a good sign that she’s ready to go for season.
Waiver Wire Wrap-up
Finally, we have a waiver wire in gymnastics! Who should you prioritize this week? Since Fantasy Central comes out on Wednesdays, keep in mind that these tips are catered toward next week.
The waiver wire won’t open up for a few weeks, but when it does, look out for tips on who you may want to add to your team in this section.
