Top Storylines

NCAA Approves Changes to Transfer Window

The NCAA Division I Council approved changes to the notification-of-transfer window, reducing the number of days from 60 to 45 for all sports. For gymnastics, this window will open seven days after the announcement of regional selections. 

Training Updates

  • Southern Utah freshman Brinley Kitchen is trying a double layout dismount on bars.
  • Oklahoma freshman Keira Wells is upgrading her beam series to a triple series: back handspring to back handspring to layout stepout.
  • Florida graduate student Payton Richards training full-twisting double layout on floor (on an air track per her Instagram story).
  • Sacramento State posted some training footage of new vaults into the pit. Freshmen Jillianne Lastra, Athena Jones, and Hannah Sitzman are all working Yurchenko half-on tuck-off vaults. Senior Simone Dumas-Guzman is working a front handspring tuck half, while fellow senior Torri Tavenner is working a tucked Yurchenko one and a half.
