Elite Leos We Wish NCAA Teams Would Wear

As you know, we really love leos here at College Gym News. And while watching elite gymnastics this summer, we got to thinking. Which teams would look amazing outfitted in some of our favorite leos from elite gymnasts?

Don’t agree with with the pairings we identified or think we left out some great elite leos that would look great on your favorite squad? Let us know your thoughts in the comments or on social media.

While not quite UCLA, a slight tweak to the shade would be all that’s needed. We would all love to see UCLA in more light blue leos, and this is a gorgeous one. Not to mention it was made by Rebecca’s Mom Leos, the same company that produces UCLA’s.

Midwest Gymnastics Center, U.S. Nationals Day Two – Iowa

Iowa already incorporates nude mesh in place of yellow in its team leos, so this wouldn’t be too far of a leap for the Hawkeyes. It might even elevate the designs the team typically wears, adding a little more pizazz to a lineup of fairly similar leos.

World Champions Centre, U.S. Nationals Day One – Lindenwood

Lindenwood already has some stunning leos in its closet, and this one would only add to the stylishness of the team. Already known for utilizing gold well, the Lions would look stunning in this design Simone Biles wore on the first day of competition in Boston.

Metroplex Gymnastics, U.S. Nationals Day One – Utah

Maybe it’s because Jaylene Gilstrap is committed to compete for Utah, but we would love to see an Under Armor rendition of this leo on the Utes in the future. From the beautiful crimson color to the delicate, subtly different-colored arms, we think it would be a perfect look for a Utah team that typically gravitates for the most part towards black leos with red and white accents.

WOGA, GK U.S. Classic – Bridgeport

It’s a rather unusual design but one we could see working really well for Bridgeport. The almost neon purple color used here is really great and looked good on all the WOGA athletes wearing it. Paired with the black sleeves, and this leo was a real winner in our books.

Revolution, U.S. Nationals Day One – Washington

Washington does have another leo along these lines already, but more ombre is always a win for us. If you want to get a little crazy, maybe even take the purple/yellow ombre sleeves from McClain’s nationals leo and combine them with this body.

Becky and Ellie Downies, British Championships – Georgia

Our team cannot agree on whether this leo is pink or red. Regardless, either make it a little more red for a standard meet or a little more pink and wear it for a pink meet. It’s absolutely stunning.
