SEC Announces TV Lineup for 2016

The SEC announced its broadcast lineup for the 2016 gymnastics season. With live meets on the SEC Network and replays on ESPNU and ESPN2, fans will have many ways to watch their favorite teams in the coming season. More meets than ever will be shown on live TV as the SEC Network enters its second year of coverage. Also new to the slate is the broadcast of both sessions of the SEC Championships live on “a linear network.” In 2015, the conference champs were shown on the SEC’s online streaming platform, SEC Network + and broadcast on tape delay.”Friday Night Heights” will take center stage with two meets back-to-back every Friday starting January 15. The coverage will begin at 7 p.m. with the first competition, followed by the second meet at 8:30 p.m. Tape-delayed duals and replays will mostly be shown on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays.

For competitions not scheduled for live broadcast or tape delayed broadcast, school-produced live streams will be available on the SEC Network + and will be announced at a later date.

There are some exciting meets you’ll want to make sure to mark on your calendar or schedule on your DVR. The season will kick off with Missouri at Alabama on Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. on the SEC Network. It will be followed by Georgia at Arkansas at 8:30 p.m. to close out opening night. Florida at Auburn on Jan. 22 8:30 p.m., Alabama at Florida on Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. and Florida at Georgia on Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. will also be featured on the SEC Network.

Other broadcasts include two great rivalry competitions with Alabama at Auburn on Feb. 12 at 8:30 p.m. and Georgia at Alabama on Feb. 26 at 8:30 p.m.
