Georgia senior Brittany Rogers took the fall semester off to train elite in the hopes of making the Canadian world championship team and, later, the Rio Olympics. She’s been upgrading like crazy since the 2015 season ended and doesn’t look like she has any intention of stopping any time soon.
Rogers posted a video from a mock meet, which includes glimpses at her skills and combinations on vault, bars and beam: Yurchenko double full, Yurchenko half-on layout half off, Ricna to pak salto, Van Leeuwen (toe-on Shaposhnikova half), double layout dismount and full-twisting back handspring to layout step-out beam series.
World trials for Canada are only a week away with the team being named soon after the conclusion of the event on Sept. 21.
