Sooners Pick Up First Solo Title, Second Overall

​Super Six
After a close competition, Oklahoma continued its dominant ways of 2016, winning the national title and joining the Oklahoma men with championships on Saturday night. LSU finished in a program-best second place after nailing vault in the last rotation while Alabama came in at third. Florida didn’t have a bad meet, but the performance wasn’t enough in Jenny Rowland’s first year as head coach. The Gators finished fourth after winning the previous three titles. UCLA and Georgia rounded out the Super Six after both ending their seasons with solid beam performances.

Super Coaches
At the conclusion of the competition, the women’s coaches of the year were announced. Justin Howell, head coach of Cal women’s gymnastics and Liz Crandall-Howell, associate head coach of the Cal program, took home top coaching honors after coaching their team to its first nationals berth since 1992 and finishing a program-best seventh at the championships.
Super Seniors
All of the teams competing at the NCAA championships will be losing great seniors from their ranks next season. However, the Super Six teams will lose some of the best gymnasts to ever perform in the NCAA.Oklahoma
